You see all movies have meanings and you have understand the movie - what it teaches you. I agree this was a great movie, a fantastic one to be honest, but in my opinion this is that type of movie which doesn't need a sequel. After watching the movie it gave me the feeling to value what you have...

I think Finch’s character journey isn’t to overcome his fear but to learn to trust. After Jeff claims the dog doesn’t like him Finch responds with “He just doesn’t trust you yet”, I think it’s his way of saying that he doesn’t trust Jeff yet, which we see everytime Jeff makes a mistake, finch is yet to trust that Jeff can protect his dog after he dies. Then in the end him finally embracing death and hugging Jeff in his final moments is his way of telling Him that he trusts him.

Jeff just sitting in the RV thinking what to do with Goodyear hit me the most. His owner, the person he must protect is gone. It's his turn to protect someone now, but when Goodyear dies as dogs don't live that long and it was years ago that Finch found Goodyear what will Jeff feel? He's going to be all alone, just wandering around pointlessly. And he might feel that everyone he swear to protect he let them down. We need Finch 2

Finch explains in the movie why he's chosen to be alone. He said at work they tried to make him part of a team, but he didn't get along with people. They finally let him work alone, which was better for him and his work. Personally, I thought this was a perfect movie, and I don't say that, well, ever. I didn't know anything about the movie before sitting down to watch. I wouldn't change a thing. 10/10 would recommend just how it is.

The sad reality is that Dogs don't live long enough. We need to genetically engineer dogs to live longer, full stop! We have been breeding dogs/wolves to be our companions for thousands of years and now that we have gene editing and therapies, we need to start thinking about the dogs in our lives and doing research to help them have longer lives (I see a movie script in this Apple/Disney, helloooooo) Anyway, it was a good movie for kids, and I enjoyed it because if I was dying in an apocalypse and I could create a robot to take care of my Dog in the event of my timely demise... I sure as hell would too.

This movie was absolutely great. The only slight problems I have with it is that there are times where things kind of made no sense or was unexplained. Like there was a moment where Finch is inside the RV driving and the light from the sun is going through the windscreen so why isn't he burning? Why does Jeff act so human-like?(especially the part where he chooses to drive the RV and going against Finch's orders. He has a lot of human emotions for a robot. Maybe I'm just being overcritical and it's just a small bit of suspension of disbelief ) Also, what's the point of the solar panel? they have fuel and why is Finch so mad that it broke? That's pretty much the only thing I had problems with other than the pacing was just a tad bit slow for my liking. Maybe you guys can answer those questions for me which I would very much appreciate. Overall, absolutely amazing film. Each of these characters have their goals and their story is executed remarkably well. The arc they go through and the journey they travelled was powerful and really twiddled by heart strings. The fact that IGN gave it a 5 just fuckin blows my mind. A very easy 9/10 film

OK...I don't want to insult you, but if it feels that way....it's just my way of speech. I have a hard time understanding why people don't see things that's right in front of them. Jeff is human like because he was built to care. which means the builder needs to not build just a food dispenser, but it must also walk, clean up after, and obviously search for the food. and protect from the solar radiation. meaning finding shelter and whatnot. it needs to learn. you can fill anyone with all the information but they ccant apply that information. until they experience it. and a robot knows its strong and humans are weak, but HOW MUCH...and all the changing factors inthe world that are out of our control/unpredictable? So he made the robot with excellent calculating skills, but there's zero way to make anything perfect at applying those skills. It must learn that through experience. it hadn't had much experience. we were watching it gain the experience. by now, we know that cars can be solar AND run on fuel. It's not smart to make it 100% either or in many cases, as well as the fact thst you can guess the solar was added afterwards. Solar needs solar power. batteries are great, but with all the other equipment the rv had, how long do you think the batteries would last if ALL of thwt is draining power at the same time? many windshields have solar blockers. Our atmosphere does that. it scatters the light and radiation. we do get it, but it's scattered just enough to not harm us so much. So we can say he was still getting radiation poison, but the solar windshield was scattering just enough to not burn them.
@jasonalv7436

@@agonleed3841 those are pretty great answers and sure, you can say that I didn't pay attention enough but I'm not perfect which why I asked questions cuz I'm sure I will miss a thing or two. The slight problem I have with the robot is that it's made to care and it's made to learn new stuff as it gets more experience. But in the movie, Jeff can get upset and angry which I am not sure a robot designed to care would really do. Jeff making mistakes and not listening to Finch I can abide now since you have explained it pretty damn well. Your 2nd and 3rd paragraph answered my questions pretty well and I thank you for that. But I guess that leaves me with another question, why was Finch so damn angry when the solar panels broke? If the RV can be fueled with both solar energy and fuel, why did he act as if he has completely lost and has given up? They clearly have fuel in stock.

@@jasonalv7436 emotions are needed for the dog. It's a tin can otherwise. The dog has to relate. And in part, I. sure he built it for himself as a friend, though though denies. But dogs aren't like humans. The human KNOWS its a robot to help. the dog would distrust a food dispenser following it or trying to just pull it around. it needs inflections and whatnot. and also interact wkth the many other things in the world..they will eventually meet humans. Knowing HOW to respond can only work, if it understands...which can only happen from experience. it had to experience human mannerisms in order to better understand human matters...that's the difference of living an innocent person or defending against an attacker. each of which makes more enemies. knowing what a trap is and the little hints from mannerisms..and what their own actions can elicit emotions of within another. Th solar panels helped power everything. you need fuel to drive. and if there were no solar panels, there would need to be MORE fuel to run the generators...otherwise they have no sufficient power for things such as heat pr ac, when the truck isn't running. and we heard the monitors of radiation levels and his health. when the truck is running, fuel does the job. but what about when they're parked in heat or cold? ,when he's he's sick to drive so he just lays there all day? They still need power to survive. generators helps there. And what powers generators...so it makes sense to not rely ONLY on the liquid energy. They had a long way to go, in a radiation filled world where the actual driving part could be shut down at any moment..and so many other things...

This is a very literal address of the movie which failed to address important deep human longings and intuitive traits that the movie is trying to make you understand without being insensitive. 1. Our relationship with dogs is special. It is a unique relationship and we would hopefully one day realise that this relationship was forged by our creators. It is easy to question misfortune... far harder to question that which we have not earned. 2. Solitude ignites creativity... but don't let anyone know that they are not needed or important. There is no escaping the current fate of mankind and the system dictates that either we all survive or all die. Beyond this notion, you actually can survive, thrive and excel being alone... but you would have to be completely alone or live with the cowardice indoctrination that you did not sacrifice your life for another life, a life you have not lived. 3. While it is easy to relate to Finch as our counterpart, the white coat and hat in the end tells us that he represents our creator and that Jeff is infact us. He too was born into this World with an undeniable advantage. 4. Perhaps it is our creators, our so called God's that are infact dying. 5. Jeff was not made to be a slave of his creator. He was created to be his successor. The tone of the movie dictates that Jeff has the potential to be far more successful as the custodians of this World than our creators. I hope that helps you.

Well.. can't call a baby or a young person dying, right? That's why life evolved to reproduce, so you can also technically say that we're all immortal too, barring environmental factors that can kill us.

Finch doesn't need to overcome his loneliness and cowardice, not every protagonist needs to take up a gun and kill some bad guys. Finch has other problems (namely, Goodyear) and knows he's going to die, so he engineers a solution out of what he has.
