Can you find #bargain #glassware & crystal shopping for #ThriftStoreFinds? Watch and pick the most valuable piece of antique and vintage glass. Is it an old Coke or Coca-Cola bottle, a Bride's basket made of glass with a silver base, a thumbprint bowl or a serving dish or plate? Watch Ph.D. Antiques Appraiser Dr. Lori share secrets to find bargain glassware & crystal and their values including hand cut vases. See #howto identify hand blown and hand painted pieces.
Discover how you are losing a lot of money when using online auctions to value, price and research your glass pieces. Dr. Lori also reveals how the markets have changed for particular pieces of glass and how a green tinted piece of milk glass is valued. And if that isn't enough, learn how to determine where a piece with a Madonna and child image on it is made by noticing which direction Madonna's head is tilted. Dr. Lori uses a frosted glass candle holder as an example.
Ask Dr. Lori to appraise your piece of antique glass, vase, bowl or plate or thrift store find. Attend her antiques appraisal events near you or submit photos on Dr. Lori's website.

That is the first thumbprint glassware I've ever seen except for mine that is on a pedestal. I got mine gifted to me by a special person at an auction we attended. I wanted it, it was very cheap, to put water and floating candles in to sit out on our cabin's porch for a romantic evening. It was lovely! I am looking at it now and it's not perfect...some of the color is flawed/worn off of the thumbprints, but it is very special to me now that I'm old and my ex love is long ago passed away. Those were the days!

Another great video. My take away will be crystal is less expensive then it could be later. I have zero crystal so I have been looking at looks of different styles and brands to decide what I want to buy. I even went to the the Waterford Crystal factory in Ireland and did not buy any. Houseful of teenagers 😅. Loved the feel of weight and sharpness when you feel it though. Waterford is nice. My mother is 100% Irish ☘️ and first generation American so we took her to see Boyle Ireland and go to great grandparents headstones. Lol 😂

@@DrLoriV Thanks! I'll do that. By the way, I like the new look on your website. I referred Locker Nuts aka Jack Chestnut to you. He buys n sells abandoned storage lockers. He's giving away the farm. Just came across a trunk full of Asian art. Beautiful stuff. He was going to contact a couple appraisers. 😏 I emailed him and implored him to try you out. He holds live auctions every Monday night on his Locker Nuts channel. Sometimes pop up auctions other nights. He and Janna are really nice people in the Bay Area CA. He needs you. Yes some of what he does is to just move volume at flea markets etc but the treasures he comes across he's clueless about and getting bad information off eBay solds and ill intentioned appraisers. He's a smart guy. Sold his digital print company of some flavor to buy n move lockers full time. Janna is in real estate. One of the few honest storage locker sellers. Good people. I really hope he contacts you.
