The fate of Hitler is one of the most infamous subjects in history - but the investigation of the nation that was best placed to find out, the USSR, is often ignored or dismissed in the West. This series examines what the Soviets found, both at the bunker and Reich Chancellery, and also the medical examination of the purported bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun. Kept secret until 1968, the Soviet files reveal many strange anomalies that challenge the established story of the ultimate fates of Hitler and his wife.
In this episode, the strange medical anomalies on the body identified as Adolf Hitler.

Hitler escaped to Argentina, watch the documentary film Greywolf. The gold bridges found in the burned bodies’ mouths were the originals. Hitler had spare bridges, or new ones made. This doesn’t prove that the bodies were Hitler’s and Eva Braun’s. The fact the bridges didn’t have any fire damage, proves they were placed into the bodies’s mouths. So what are you saying? That Hitler and Eva Braun removed their bridges, killed themselves and then after the bodies were partially cremated, the bunker staff put the bridges back into their mouths? Possible, but not very likely. It’s far more plausible that an Evil Genius would fake the deaths and escape to a safe haven on the other side of the planet. I rest my case.

I'm a dentist. If the photos of the upper bridge are of the one in question then without any possible doubt, that is not one that's been taken out of a box. You can clearly see some attached pieces of dentine around the 2 gold posts (the metal pins sticking out of the top of the bridge), an unworn bridge just wouldn't look like that. It looks like it's been removed fairly forcibly, thus breaking off the dentine from the roots of the 2 incisors. The strange bridge on the lower right side is pretty standard from the time, the canine tooth was thought to have a "strong" root system to support the false tooth, rather than the premolar immediately in front of the space, so the false tooth has been connected to the canine using a "stress breaker" design to avoid applying excess torque to the canine. Fascinating series, I can't wait for part 4. Thank you so much.

No, I am not suggesting Hitler fled or anything, he just didn't want his remains to be put on display and without a proper crematorium he couldn't be sure that petrol would be enought ot burn him to ashes! So he was probably burried and they selected an appropriate person (maybe a deserter or something), shot that person, put the dentures etc. in his mough, with the cyanide and then burned that body!

There is an interview out of Hans Baur, his private pilot, who stayed with him in the bunker till the end. Hitler and Eva were burnt with 200 liters petrol which is way to less too turn a body into ashes. He stated that he had been lied to by officers that the corpse was decimated, otherwise he would have thrown him personally into the heaters of bunker. While Werner Naumann was able to flee the building, Baur and Hitler's dentist Hugo Blaschke got caught in RU captivity and were flown to Berlin in 1946 to identify the corpse. He told that the body was rather cooked than burned. Baur offered the opportunity to fly Hitler everywhere, Argentina, Egypt, Sahara but he refused because his will was to not leave Germany. Adolf's personal horror scenario in bunker was that he would get captured as he was sure allies and soviets would put him in a cage and drag him around the world like a safari animal.

I was going to ask or research what the calibre of his walther was. a .22 is often used in head shots as the bullet just bounces around in the skull ensuring death. It also would depend on the load of the .32. The no exit wound would explain why there is only blood on the right side of the sofa as there'd be a fountain of blood spray out the right side of hitler's head with no exit wound.

By far the best book about this is “the Berlin Bunker “ by J P O’Donnell. He was an American journalist and army officer who was the first American to enter the bunker in 1945. He was fascinated by the story and followed it for the next 30 years. He was a fluent German speaker and interviewed the bunker occupants at length over many years. Post mortem injuries to the bodies was highly likely as the bunker area was under heavy artillery fire particularly after General Krebs inadvertently revealed it to the Soviets during the abortive ceasefire talks.. I find it hard to believe that a complex plan to hide the bodies could have taken place while the bunker was under heavy fire and the bunker occupants were keen to get away.

The movie "THE BUNKER" (starring Anthony Hopkins as Hitler) opens with O'Donnell doing a narration of his entry into the Fuhrerbunker, bribing a Russian guard with cigarettes, if I remember right. The actor portraying O'Donnell was James Naughton, whom I knew beforehand as one of the stars of the TV series "PLANET OF THE APES" (as Major Pete Burke, opposite Ron Harper as Colonel Alan Virdon and Roddy McDowall as the chimpanzee fugitive Galen). His brother David Naughton starred in "AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" and had been the star of the Dr. Pepper commercials.

What if he had his dental work pulled out deliberately while alive in order to pull this off? He had body doubles. He wouldn't be above having someone like this in his place. I'm not sure of any theory, but I think all theories you can think of should be expressed so they can be examined and discussed. I believe that if he was shot, it was because his hand didn't let him do it, or perhaps he couldn't stand the effect of the poison and couldn't fire his weapon, so he was put out of his misery by someone. At any rate, be highly skeptical of anyone who insists on having a monopoly on truth.

Of course the preamble and aftermath of whatever happened to Hitler in the bunker was witnessed by very few people (the actual event, allegedly by nobody) - all of whom were dedicated nazis and/or with a great personal loyalty to the man himself. A number of those did not survive the following few days, either killed or committing suicide. So the original base story is not founded upon a lot of evidence, some of which should, perhaps, be treated with caution.

Mark, thank you, wonderful work. Some corrections, or at least comments to address two discrepancies: 1) regarding Parkinson' disease, in some instances, the shaking hand stops the involuntary flipping if an object is grabbed. It is not possible to rule out he was unable to handle a fire arm chambered in 380 or lesses caliper. 2) I have autopsy evidence in not related situations, where the bullet that enters the temple or even the ear drum, does not necessarily exits the skull, For example a caliper 38S (not 38 +P), a 380, or a 22LR, might actually "bounce" so to speak, inside the skull, leaving only an entrance injury. Thank you sir.

I can add that from a ballistic aspect, if Hitler used his .32 acp Walther to shoot himself, it would be extremely unlikely that the round would exit the head. That caliber is not powerful enough to penetrate through and through the cranial dome. It will however kill very well. I have been on suicide scenes where a .32 was used in an identical manner and the effects were rather immediate.

Concerning the “blood and tissue that should have gone out the head after shooting himself on the right head side”. Small caliber handguns bullet, in most cases, don’t have enough kinetic energy to cause an exit hole. Small calibers like .32 ACP for example, are capable of entering but not of exiting. Thus, there would be blood exiting through the enter hole and none throughout the non existing exit hole. BTW, it would be very interesting to know if the soviets found the bullet inside the male body’s skull or not.

My thoughts exactly. Hitler was said to have carried a Mauser pocket pistol. This was most likely to have been 7.65. Also, I thought his degenerative condition was due to amphetamine use. Certainly, his right hand was sound enough to hold and fire a small pistol.

Awesome series. And comments too. So far, I take from the comments that two things are wrong in the video: 1. that Hitler couldn't have shot himself correctly with is right hand (he could have) 2. with his small caliber gun, he'd be dead but no exit wound to splatter the wall. The rest still remains. It doesn't help the Soviets did this investigation and hid it all...

Another point: H may have shot the gun, but with his shakes he more than likely missed. I believe they died but with the war raging around them and it being 1945 with cover ups I believe the scene was contaminated. Poor Hans Linger trying to remember details whilst be interrogated but the KGB, I'm amazed he could remember his name.

There was a container full of bodies, he talked about it previously where one body was misidentified as AH. If the SS simply included their bodies with the other bodies then none would be the wiser and the Soviets technically would never have found the bodies of AH and Eva as any similarity would be chalked up to another misidentification, thus carrying out the Fuhrer's request to not have his body paraded in Moscow which I am sure is something he thought would happen. Reminder that AH viewed the Eastern Europeans as something around less than human.

The standard line on Hitler's post-July 20 hands is that his left hand developed a tremor... this video is the first I've seen to say his right hand was uncontrollable. The blood on the right side of the couch would be consistent with a shot that did not exit the skull and that caused its right-handed victim to slump to the right.

Great job as usual, Mark.......Unless these questions come out in later episodes....allow me to ask and make observations. 1.) Hitler's last film footage alive show possible Parkinson's disease, but only inasmuch as shaking of his left hand. Notice he is shaking-hands with people with his right hand as is normal and that hand didn't show shaking. If he then used his ( well-functioning) right hand to place the gun on his right temple....then the shot would have entered the right side of his head and exited the left.....BUT.....the couch pictures show blood stains along the right side of the couch and arm-rest. 2.) If the dental bridge and such were possibly placed "loose" in the substitute body......what X-rays or other forensics were done of that paticular corpse's remaining teeth and jaw?......do the remaining teeth show match with earlier dental records?...... do the "Void" spaces of missing teeth likewise match earlier records? It would be incredible to have not only a look-alike fake body but also one with matching dental characteristics......right? Then again.....Hitler not having cyanide in the rest of his body is very suspicious as mentioned. Here too....UNLESS someone forcibly broke the ampule in two in his mouth, AFTER he shot himself, as "insurance" . Then this question......how does all this reconcile with the "skull fragment-with-bullet-hole" found in later years at KGB archives?.....or are those reports true that it was ultimately found to be wrong being a woman's skull?...... so many inconsistencies !!!!!!!

The national socialists took over all the major industries in Germany and disenfranchised their owners, the German aristocrats ☝️ they were put back in charge of Germany after the war (as they were relatives of the British Queen) and Dulles was in charge of that effort and profited from it... Operation paperclip had not only scientific but also intelligence and economic aspects. James Angleton stated that, when made chief of US counterintelligence, his primary guidance from Dulles was that he could not polygraph Dulles nor 30 of his closest German industrialist friends 🤔 American foreign policy has been decided by the British aristocracy for over a century now - this is the "special relationship"

well, it always struck me as strange that the burning of the corpses was bungled the way it was. one would think that the disposal of the bodies would have been something of a sacred task for those who had followed their fuhrer to the end. thus, it may be not unthinkable that some bodies of poor souls who got killed in the fighting were botch-burned for the soviets to find, while the real bodies were well hidden. the storyline of the head honcho shooting himself may perhaps be fabricated to make him look more valiant, than just poisoning himself.
@jacksons1010
@jacksons1010 11 ай бұрын
Or as admitted the Soviets found bodies, then reburied them before finally removing them. That alone raises all kinds of questions and possible errors. As for Hitler’s cause of death, it’s the opposite - the Soviets preferred citing poison as a cause of death (“cowardly”) vs a “brave” death by shooting himself. Most likely Hitler bit the capsule and shot himself simultaneously, so the cyanide wasn’t distributed through his body.

The odds of Hitler surviving the war, or even wanting to survive it, are slim to none. I believe he died in the Fuhrer Bunker, but I wouldn't be surprised if loyal SS men did try to carry out his wish that his corpse not be discovered, especially by the Soviets. Given the chaos and number of dead German soldiers and civilians, it isn't impossible to think that a corpse was altered and planted to appease the victors, while Hitler himself was placed somewhere within the Bunker or its grounds. While I'm definitely no Mark Felton, everything I've read about Hitler is that he was egotistical to an extreme. Modern audiences think of two despotic rivals in the mid-20th Century, each responsible for millions of deaths: Hitler and Stalin. When the two clashed and the Red Army beat back the Wehrmacht to Berlin itself, I wouldn't think that Germany's leader would have any reason to flee and live out his days knowing that he was both the most wanted man on earth and was defeated by someone very similar to himself, albeit different ideologically. Had Moscow fallen, I suspect we'd be considering the same about Stalin, though I think he'd have died in place rather than trying to flee to some other Communist paradise (which didn't really exist at the time).

Well first off, Stalin was not in Stalingrad. Not accepting defeat is usually a good indicator of being super egotistical. There’s plenty of times in history where egomaniac leaders flee their supposed sacred grounds simply to save themselves. They are in fact, egotistical and selfish, so to think that these people would really rather stay their ground and die in the city they’re supposed to be defending than to flee to save themselves out of selfishness is honestly very reaching to me. I don’t disagree with your theory but what I do disagree on is your notion that an egotistical world leader wouldn’t do absolutely everything possible in their power to save themselves instead of holding their ground

It would have to be repaired by soldering like jewelry. .....the crowns on #27 and #29 that are connected by a bar would not have been a very common restoration and, as such, are probably a tell tale sign that the dentition was, in fact, Mr. Hitler's if that's what the records show. ....the whole "spares" thing concerning the bridges is interesting because they wouldn't have fit worth a damn, so I'm not sure about that. 1930's dentistry, though, so who knows for sure. How difficult do you think it would have been in 1945 Berlin to procure a person and modify their teeth to look like Hitler's?

Another dentist @gordonlaurie commented above about the bridge. Great to have experts talk. Are you saying the spares would not have fitted a fake Hitler ? It seems they were found loose in the mouth, although of course the fake Hitler could have been given the same dental work to make sure of any deception, in life or death.
