I feel this time in history is pivoting for the human species... We have a system that requires people to work or run a business so they can survive... The trouble with this is, this logic is destroying our planet's ecology that we all are 100% dependent on for our survival... Have you heard about technological unemployment? This is the largest human rights issue of our time, billions of people with no way to create a job, or get one... And how will this be addressed? That's the issue that everyone should be working on, our current system can't address this humanely... We all know about robotics, but in the next few years, autonomous vehicles will enter the market, and in the US alone over a 100 million jobs will be lost permanently in the transportation and related fields alone... This will save thousands of live annually, be better for the environment, and drastically cut down on auto ownership, why own one, when you can call for one whenever you need one... Bottom line, people must have the right to the resources they need survive, no matter of their employment status... Either we change the system, or we all die... It's very hard to see myself where I don't depend on my paycheck every week. I just have trouble figuring out where to start. I didn't go to college. I don't have any experience with internships and 'actual careers'. All I know is in passionate about helping animals and just making a difference in someone's else's lives. I would love to meet people in my city that share the same goal and that do what you do. But it seems impossible. Your lifestyle just doesn't seem attainable. No offense either.
