The way I understand it medjool dates are considered fresh because thats the way they grow, but nutritionally its very similar to dried fruits. Hope that helps you.

Would be awesome to connect with you! If you end up passing through the Peterborough area, in Ontario, you definitely have to check out The Food Forest! It is an absolutely gorgeous vegan cafe that has many raw and non-raw options for lunch/dinner. Its my favourite spot (though, I'm biased because I worked there for two years haha!)
