I have a match who is 18 years old on my paternal side and he was adopted……he matches my 80 year old paternal aunt at 772 cM’s and I build out a large tree …..but…..we don’t know if his mother or father is in my family? I tried adding all the dna matches to the Wato tree but there’s just too many possibilities ….what else can I do?

Hello, from Pennsylvania. I wanted to ask how can I help my mother find her biological father? They are from Puerto Rico and with the endogamy I feel like it's an impossible task. Any advice?

I am attempting to find my biological father. I have tested with 23&me, Ancestry, and My Heritage. I have found my paternal biological family. The problem is there were 3 brothers and a grandfather that was for lack of a better word, a rounder. My closest match is on Ancestry, 1850cM, 27% shared DNA, longest segment 122cM. They are saying close family 1st cousins. This match is the son of one of the three brothers. This match's daughter is on 23&me we share 923cM 12.4% shared DNA, and 25 segments, they are saying she is my first cousin. My biggest question is can I find or figure out which one of the brothers is my biological father? All three brothers and the grandfather are all deceased.

I think she was talking about DNA Painter. The two tools there she works with often are the What are the Odds tool ( dnapainter.com/tools/probability) and the Shared cM Project (dnapainter.com/tools/sharedcmv4)

I build trees for my and my client's DNA matches. We've talked about this on Lisa's show. I also have a more lengthy version on Legacy Family Tree webinar. First step is trying to figure out who the match is.

@@maryeberle8994 I have a very, very limited side with my mother's siblings. This girl has a 475 CM match with me. I can't imagine who she is. She has no tree and has not responded to my two messages. I know all of my cousins on this side and their children. She is a mystery.
