Man, my cousin and I have always talked about elk hunting out west. (We’re from Vermont) But it always seemed so out of reach for us. This series has helped tremendously take the pressure off of the planning, and everything that goes into it. Next year we’ve got a 10 day hunt in Colorado planned and couldn’t be more excited. Headed to Colorado this year with our bows! This gets me super pumped. Hiking 6 miles/day training, shooting my bow a lot, gear all checked ready to go, and working on my calling and voice for bugling. Thanks guys for this awesome video. :)

I hunt primarily in the muzzleloading season here in Colorado. For 2019, I put in for 3 tags: moose (17th year trying), cow elk, and rifle antelope. I was happy to see that the unit for the elk and moose and the unit for antelope were on the guys' filtered unit map! The thing is I did not draw for any of my choices because I went for an elk point on my first choice and the other two are tough to get, the moose tag very difficult. There is one tag total in my preferred unit, and archery, muzzleloading, and rifle all compete for that single tag. So because I didn't draw anything, I used this season to get spinal fusion surgery, so I am looking forward to next year!!! Hope everyone had a successful hunt this year!!

I’ve been wanting to go to Colorado for elk ever since I hiked in the RMNP. Being a flat lander from Ohio it’s a big challenge. Didn’t know where to start until I watched this video. 💪🏻

Great info guys. I'm looking for a unit that has nothing but bulls (walking on the roads). Not a big trophy hunter so would like to keep the bull down around low 400s. What a dream! Lol

Hey guys, thank you for the videos! Started watching last year and I am taking my son out for the first time to Colorado this year!!! We plan to camp by the truck, but have gear for packing in. Question: if you find a good spot( active elk) do you recommend staying in for the night or heading back to the truck to camp and going back in the next day? Thank you again.

What advice would you give a hunter who has never even seen a live elk . I've hunted deer all my life and an elk hunt is a dream but is slowly becoming more obtainable .

I have hunted elk for 55 years in Idaho. This will be my 56th year in the elk woods. I’ve loved every minute of it. You haven’t lived until you have gone to the middle of one of God’s greatest creations and have a bull screaming in your face at 30 yards. Enjoy!!

I shot my last two bulls within 2 miles from a road. I like to hunt 1-4 miles from at least a two track road. Seems to work pretty well. Great info guys. Quick question though; what's the newest burn area you all like to go into for elk. I'm looking at an area that was just burnt in 2018 and am wandering if that's just a bit too soon? Thanks for your videos.

We have hunted burns within 12 months of a fire. Depends on size and intensity. Don’t over look blackened timber as fresh green chutes will pop up for sure the next Spring.

I also hunt a lot off the mtn bike here in BC, but all non-motorized roads are open to pedal bikes, (not e-bikes). I have heard some western states (WY) have BLM land which does not allow bikes. Can anyone address which states do or do not allow mtn bikes?

I can't wait until LOF 3.0. I hope we get more of the same collabs from Hush, Pure Elevation, as well as Phelps, Dirk, Donnie, and Corey..and maybe Ty again?? And you have to get Kenton a stick bow bull while he is wearing the new Firstlite Onesy. One of the things I enjoy most is the fact you guys can have fun while hunting which me makes me think of my buddies. I look forward to 3.0 after the season is over.

Make sure you check that the areas y’all hunt are not primitive backcountry areas as no wheel at all no mechanical conveyances there are a lot of areas like Idaho’s river of no return ect that you can only pack in

These guys are giving valuable info bro you need to listen and learn. If this is boring you then maybe stick to what you know cause these guys are absolutely dialed. Been following for quite a while now and hand down in my opinion best collaboration of shared info for an outdoorsman particularly Elk. Also kind sir if hunting content is what you want click and subscribe and you will have a bunch of content to choose from. Good humble group of guys.
