I've watched probably hundreds of travel videos so far and David is by far the best: it's a wonderful mixture of professionalism, knowledge and personal experience - these movies make me feel like I AM in this places, like I KNOW the people he spends time with; the guy has a great talent to interact with people, he's very open minded, very flexible and friendly.

Doesn't matter if there are errors in parts of the documentary, the presenter never purports to claim it is a scientific fact finding mission. As an Ethiopian, I found this documentary to be one of the best told accounts of an outsider's perspective on the historical, cultural, and spiritual importance of Christianity to the Ethiopian people.

My homeland, Ethiopia, remains enigmatic within this world. It continues to be a place of immense religious significance, boasting a rich heritage in ancient Christianity and a culture steeped in tradition. Its industrious population should not be judged solely by the values of materialism prevalent in today's society. Ethiopia unravels as an absolute mystery, deserving deep exploration.

Every Tewahdo church in Ethiopia and Eritrea must have a Tabot, a tablet containing the Ten Commandments that Mosses received from God. Essentially a copy of the original Tabot or tablet. Each church is also named to a patron saint. During the once a year celebration of the patron saint, the tablet is taken out of the sacred altar for a special tour around the church. It’s covered and is carried by a priest, followed by priests and the faithful. The tour is to remind the faithful that they are ruled by the Ten Commandments, God’s law.

Idk... the Philistines got their hands on it once. And the Ark belonged to the Jews, but somehow they lost it anyway. So either it just disappeared Into Thin Air, or some other culture had possession of it like the Assyrians

Anyone noticed that none of these people seem to have cavities? It's amazing.

Not really, they don't sip on HF CORN-SYRUP and eat sugary foods all day and also eat very little meat, Did notice the rampant malnourishment throughout Ethiopia though, that was shocking😲. Here in the US we have absurdly obese people whose teeth have rotted away and r also very malnourished and r debilitated, go figure? Guess it's Better 2 b starved than eat like a pig!

Well, I'm 'liking' this because of the easy pilgrimage we were just able to do, and being able to see Ethiopia and to meet the people at least in a small way, but not for "finding the Ark", which he clearly was not able to do. Nor for the comments about myth and faith. Something is either true or false. The Christian faith is about believing in something, because it is true, not because you want some kind of mystical wishing that it is true. God gave His only Son so that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. If we believe in a lie, we suffer the failure of that in which we believe. If we believe a truth, we gain the benefit of having put our faith, our trust, our belief and our action into and in support and proof of our belief, which will succeed, because of its reality and truth.
