FIND THE FISH!!! Winter Feeder Fishing | Hybrid Feeder Fishing | Rob Wootton at Barston.
Feeder fishing in winter.. Finding the fish in winter is half the battle and when feeder fishing in winter a softly softly approach is often best. Barston lakes is full of carp, bream and F1s and a small hybrid feeder is often the best way to catch them.

Hi Rob. Great video as usual. Whilst I realise that the majority of anglers fish commercials & think that Barston appears in far too many feeder videos. It'd be great to see you on some more natural wild venues. Cheers

Thanks for the video Rob , have you ever had those guru feeders come unclipped at the connector ? Lost a few fish in the past with the feeder coming right off , don't know where I'm going wrong ?

The hooklength coming off or the feeder parting from the mainline ? I have had neither happen

It’s happened to me once, I think maybe because I was using a thin diameter main line, hasn’t since I’ve used a thicker mainline, so maybe try that, or a shock leader?

@@philiptaylor2259 I was using 6lbs daiwa sensor line and both times I lost bream on them , feel bad about leaving a fish swimming about with a feeder attached to it but hopefully being barbless will shed it quickly .

It’s a strong rod so should cope with any swimmers 😀😀- it’s nice for skimmers too although there’s softer rods available which I think would be better.

cracking video rob,but do you ever chuck short near the end of the match or don't you think the fish come in short in the last hour of the match like they do in summer...all the best scott

Very rarely .... especially when it’s as cold as it has been
