That Kellison is awesome. I hope that one day I'll have the time, money, and space to build my own custom car. I don't need something with perfect paint, chrome and a big expensive engine. I just want to be able to drive around in something that I built myself I would definitely drive that Trabant to work and back daily. I don't know if I would want a convertible. But early 60's Mopars are beautiful And early 60's GM cars are awesome too. Especially the rare ones

The best-selling 1991 U2 album "Achtung Baby" has a Trabant on its cover. I recall a number of music magazines, in articles about the band and the album, explained what a Trabant was and where it was from. That's how I learned about them anyway. U2 used a Trabant as an allusion to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the emergence of East Germany out of its former isolation.

The speedo has a 3 color drum in it. The red goes to the max mph shown which is probably 120. I was asked one time to try and fix one but couldn't find a drum for it. I used to be an instrument tech at a GM/AC Delco repair shop.

I was at the world golf village at a bike show,. I was looking at 3 cylinder, 2stroke Kawasaki. Suddenly there was Dennis Gage. I told him the story of my first bike. It was a 1976 KH 500. Used, lightly crashed, 2200 miles, for $500. Years later I saw an episode of tripping on two wheels and since then I have regretted that our brief discussion was not about him riding from Indiana on a 30 year old BMW.

So you're saying a 360 AMC engine, and a Ford 351, can't make horsepower, and compare them to a Renault V6 powered slug. Not an educated comment.
