Today was terrifying and incredible all at the same time! Impressed with Chelle for finding strength to keep climbing the beautiful Wild Ferenc Via Ferrata even after having a terrifying fall! Our day is spent up in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains with the wonderful Carpathian Escapes tour agency to tackle one of the steepest and most difficult via ferratas in Romania. The Wild Ferenc. What started as slightly terrifying after a fall from the cliff ended as one of our favorite days on this Romania road trip!

There is absolutely NO WAY that I could’ve done that…even if I were in my 20’s…I’m so scared of heights! Thank you guys so much for sharing this experience! Even though I had to look away when you were on the bridge…that was the most cringy part! 🤣 I loved the beautiful mountains! ❤️

What a beautiful and scary climb! Chelle, you are the bravest lady I have ever known. My family(college daughters) thinks that Dan is so handsome without the backward cap. Please throw the cap away. 😊 Loving all your vlogs. I too never thought that Romania was such a beautiful country.

That mountain that would cry me to death when I was in senior Girl Scouts in high school think 17 or 18 I trained for a year with other Scouts and we parallel down the Grand Canyon and then did water rafting on the Colorado River that was the best experience we've ever had love you guys can't wait till

Wow - those views were absolutely breathtaking! Wow - you two are SO brave! I am impressed! I’m sure that similar climb you did in Utah was helpful. Interesting hiw inexpensive the housing is in Europe compared to the U.S. we need to learn something from them. Can’t wait for your next great adventure!

I'm glad there was an alternate hiking trail for you go down. If it was me, I would have gone up and down the regular hiking trail. I don't do well with heights over about 20 feet.

You are brave! Do not go unaccompanied on the mountain. More than 60% of the bear population in Europe live in the mountain forests of Romania. Meeting bears can be unpleasant!

They are trained to eat only visitors from outside Romania. As long as you don't speak, you're safe. However, if anyone reads this, the serious advice is to actually do the opposite: make yourself heard and the bears will most likely keep their distance.

You both did so well, especially you Dan due to the height. I dont like heights either, but I figured if I just looked up and out at the horizon I would give it a try, but once you looked down it flipped my tummy, I could not have done that suspended bridge. I was worrying about how you get down so was very relieved it was a hike lol. It really is beautiful, just what I love loads of trees, mountains and water xx

carol langs, falling from any height is terrifying for me! Even knowing the ground is right there makes no difference. My stomach drops out, my heart accelerates and panic sets in. I couldn't have done this in a million years. Dan and Chelle conquered that beautiful mountain! We got to sit on our chairs and judge them.
