Everything is still running great going from windows 10 to windows 11 without doing a fresh install of windows. And yes Windows 11 helped out big time without disabling e cores. Great video by the way :)

Thanks for this. I feel more vindicated with my recent RAM purchase. I know for me, 32GB would not be enough after a short while, so I went with more expensive sticks that had more capacity, better timings, and fast speeds. Great video.

you dont get alot of FPS, for avg, but I did notice a very big increase in 1% lows with my switch to ddr5, I was on 32gb ddr4 3600m/t Corsair Dom Plat, switched to G.Skill 32gb cl32 6400m/t ddr5 ram...I considered it a smol upgrade, paired with a i5-13600k+RTX4080 Gigabyte OC(oc'd to a stable 2.9ghz) and i5 oc'd to a stable 5.5ghz, GG great vid, new to channel :) I'm a z690 board so kinda locked to 6400m/t, but my next big build in the future, probably next yr, I will be pushing it all across the board :)

I'm glad i got some reassurance from your video that i got the best ram for my needs without sacrificing performance on capacity and speed. I mainly am editing on resolve and premier. Hello bro! I need your help with my workstation build! I see you as one of the most reliable tech streamers! Keep it up man, great videos! I do heavy 3D workloads in 3Ds Max/vray and animation in after effects, all in 4K. My quewtion is; do you think it would be a good decision to go for ddr5 at 4800 or even 5200 using all the slots for a total pf 128 gb of ram? I prioritize stability 24/7 over everything. Or should I go for DDR4. Your opinión would be a great help! Thanks!

For the 192GB you should've used the Fury Renegade DDR5 6000 instead of the 6400. I'm using that configuration in a MSI Ace z790 and a 13900KS and is stable at 6000MTs using the XMP profiles. I've been using it for the last month with no BSODs nor application crashes. I mentioned the 6000MTs model as it have lower XMP profiles from 6000-5600-4800 and XMP 2 could have worked for you without manual RAM tunning.

What matters much much more is the quality of the memory controller on your CPU, not the type/manufacturer of the RAM

@@DaPoetsthat's right. But by going with a setup of 4 RAM sticks it's better to go with the lower frequency kits. This is for the same reason that you mentioned regarding of the memory controller quality but also because lower frequency kits provides a finer tunning in their XMP profiles that may make things easier to configure. Honestly I think that for 13th/14th Gen Intel CPUs, 6000MTs may be the best performance for a 4 RAM stick configuration.

Have you ever ran into ram thermal throttling? Is that even a thing or does it just glitch and fail if it overheats because it can't slow down?

Only if you're doing some extreme overclocking on it, and it's only happened to me on DDR4 so far

Yes you do. So there's a way to save your bios settings in your bios onto a usb stick then after updating the bios, you pop the usb stick and load the profile back and all your previous settings will be back. On my asus z790 proart it's called asus user profile. You have to search what setting it is on your mobo.

Already tried that w/ a 256 GB system. SC won't run due to the Easy Anti-Cheat service preventing it.

Going from DDR4-3600 to DDR5-7400 is a substantial boost and performance in certain games and applications on Intel.

Oh really because I've seen games comparisons between D4 3600 and D5 6000MZ and I didn't notice any difference at all, barely 4-5fps difference sometimes but for the applications that's a different thing there will be a difference.@@DaPoets
