Welcome to my Pokémon Bead sprite journey! Follow along as I create all of your favorite Pokémon. From Bulbasaur to Charizard, I'm making them all with high-quality Perler and Artkal beads. My LARGEST Pokémon perler bead pattern to date! A crazy amount of work has gone into this Pokémon perler bead project and im happy i can share it finally. Started with Kyogre, then Jirachi, added in Shiny Latios and Latias, and finished with Rayquaza and Groudon! This entire perler was roughly 3 feet in diameter and was a pain to ship but was well worth it.

Melted is always epic! I use to hate perler because of the unmelted look they always had. But since seeing your perler my minds been changed!

Same, I was never interested in perler until I found your channel and learned that they could be melted the whole way. I don't like the holes in the picture when you do it the normal way.

Same story. I thought circle pixel art with holes in it was kind of sloppy looking until I saw these fully melted ones and they look so clean and just like in the game!

I use the tape method but some of my biggest and best pieces always get the tape stuck to them like it’s melted on there I only melt the non taped side then take the tape off.How do you prevent tape from not rip/sticking on a finished product 😢

So that happens when you either melt too long or too hot. The tape on the other side is melting under the heat

An Idea for speeding up the hole poking process that may or may not work is if you have an extra of the pearl trays you might be able to poke an entire square at a time, though I might be wrong on how strong it is and the pins could snap, so you might have done it and discovered that yourself and that's why you poke them individually. Still looks great.

It can help speed it up but it can also ruin the beads. The board can get stuck to the tape and then it’s tough to remove

The piece looks awesome and the flip was so satisfying. Speaking of, I've been using the tape method for a little bit, but I ran into an issue on my last project. How do you keep the tape from pulling up too many beads when you need to fix something?

Is it possible to put a large flat board across the design, flip the whole thing, and then remove the peg board afterwards instead of flipping by the tape?

You should make a perler of EVERY SING LEGENDARY that would take a long time but i bet it would be worth it also how much money does all the tape you use cost bc i wanna use the tape method but im not sure if id be able to get a lot of tape

yup thats basically it. Some people lightly melt both sides but i like to fully melt 1 side and leave the other untouched.

The unmelted side has that fine texture and uniformity to it that I like. The melted side is still great but it's "pixels" isn't exactly uniformly square and looks quite blurry. It looks like one of those pixel art images that was upscaled with its edges aliased.

AYYY OMG YOU ALSO SAY RAYQUAZA THE *right* WAY!!! omg Thats a half joke, Ray QUAH-ZAH sounds weird imo Your perlers never cease to amaze me though! I hope I see more of your shorts as I scroll > I like both sides! I feel like the smooth melted side blends the beads like the sprites, while the nonmelted side shows the individual beads, and looks more like an older blockier sprite
