The capital of rock is Finland. This year they were not surprised. They joined again with a rock song.

It’s the chorus. That chorus is incredibly infectious and I get it stuck in my head all the time. And hum it around the house all the time. And I think the way the prechorus keeps stepping up in key is clever because it reels your attention in for the chorus. These guys. They know how to write a song.

I was a huge fan of the Rasmus in the early 2000's and this song is very much in their style. I'm so excited that they are representing Finland and wish them lots of luck ❤

That reaction is iconic 😂 you are so confused! Saint Cassandra actually loves that song as well! It does bring that early 2000's feeling, not only with the sound but also with those animations (Gorillaz vibes with this staging), and I'm totally here for it! My guilty pleasure this year 🥰

They said it's meant as a tribute to strong women. I really like it. It sounds a lot like what people know them for. The staging/camera work and his voice could have been a little bit better in a few places, but overall I really like this catchy rocksong. It's in my 4th place so far.

Fun reaction 😁 the band has in interviews talked about the theme of the song, and that it is not a condemning song, but more of a happy "go women! do what you want!"-song. Many fans has shared stuff with the hashtag "iamjezebel", really owning up to being free and doing as they please. I was, as you, a bit cautios when hearing the title, but really liking it now when i get the message. Also loving the stage show and colour theme 😊

I'm Italian and I'm into rock, I love it, for me is a top 3. On the other side Brividi is not my cup of tea, I'm not into ballads, but I love it. I hope to see them both in the final.

I tried thinking what it was reminding me of, and why it's so catchy. And then I remembered: Alice Cooper - Poison. I love The Rasmus, but...it's really like a modern cover of Poison.

I love it so far. Sure they will qualify. They will get a lot of points only for their fame. And exactly as you said, that's the beauty of music. And when you are open minded of course you can enjoy and maybe love a song from a genre you usually don't connect with. Have fun guys, I enjoy watching you a lot.

I TOTALLY LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH❣️🎶🥰🎶🥰 I called and vote too many times, 20 maximum😅😂 and I couldn’t voted more…😟🥺🙁 But here’s for you guys if you haven’t already knowing it? "Jezebel" (named after the biblical Jisebel or Jezebel) is a tribute to today's strong women, who take what they want without asking. Hugs from Sweden🇸🇪

I'm 33 years old, I'm from Chile and The Rasmus was kind of big in my country when I was in highschool xD Like, In the Shadows was a BOP (amaaaazing song) and after that Sail Away (more chill, vulnerable) was popular but not as much as the first one. So I'm excited it about this xD

Woohoo! We've turned you to dark side at last! We'll soon have you loving black metal. ;-) I've been waiting for you to review this song, though. It's not as heavy as last year's rock/metal entries so I had my fingers crossed. The Rasmus are a famous band throughout Europe starting in the mid 90s, with their breakout hit in 2003. They're not likely to be misogynistic with a female guitarist, although she's not been with them for long.

You need to check out moor from the Rasmus. Lots of infectious songs between 2003-2022. Plus check out the band Voyager's song from 2023 Eurovision (Austrailia)...good song.

I remember you from last year. I can't remember what I commented but I remember you were not fan of Blind Channel. But I you are honest and that's good. This year seems like you say "you don't hate it" but clearly rock is not your thing 😂 anyway liked your reaction and all the best to your guys and be like that. Honest persons. Of course I like The Rasmus because it's my childhood and from finland like me ✌🏼 EDIT should watch until the end. Good to see you liked and like you said that's the beauty of music. I listen music from rap to Mötley crue. But yeah you guys are great

And all of a sudden I'm 19 again 😁 "In the shadows" was everywhere in early 2000's, I mean, 20-30 times a day on MTV... I don't like this song very much though, but good luck to them. As a Rock person I'm always on board for something like this even if it's more of a Pop-Rock song (and the 19 y.o. me would vote for it 😎) Edit: so, so, so... If you liked this you might (I said might) like a Pop-Rock ballad by 🥁🥁🥁 Måneskin?! I'm ready to hide after suggesting this again to you 😅😁 BUT... They had SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS but they went with the most famous act and it will backfire. Bess, Olivera, Yunghearted, Tommi Lankinen, Cyan Kicks and Isaac were ALL better on the night. Bess and Olivera would be guaranteed qualifiers but with the Ramus and how his vocals were last night I am honestly not sure they do well.

This wasn't my favourite among the UMK contestants, even though I was a huge fan of The Rasmus back in the day as about half of Europe 😄 I think you should check out the other UMK entries as well, the quality was on another level this year ❤️ Bess and Isaac Sene were my favourites 😍

Kind of a weak year, I'm so disappointed except of Italy, Spain and Ukraine every song in the competition is so lazy Kind of missing last year, almost every country gave its 100% and it was so much fun (but I love the Rasmus)

Holy shit you don't hate a rock song?! XD He's actually praising the woman in the song. Jezebel is supposed to be a positive descriptor. He likes that she's fierce and aggressive Also, Jezebel was a queen actually, not a prostitute XD. And technically her sin was paganism and being a false prophet. Her connection to promiscuity is pretty much non existent (apparantly she he had the audacity to put makeup on before her execution) so it's kind of a weird association, but there you go.

Uhhhh do some research? They've repeatedly said the song is praising Jezebel not denegrating her. Also dreary? This is some of the brightest poppiest rock I've heard.

Finland had some good options, yet they chose a name rather than a good song. It's bland, boring, dated; Finland can do soooo much better, especially when it comes to rock genres... 🥺
