JOHN DEERE TOUR ON FINNEGANS FARM (22 IN TOTAL)

There is some line up today as the lads talk us through their 22 John Deere tractors. At one stage, back in Eddie's time nearly every machine was green here on the farm...even the wheel barrow! The John Deere tractor was definitely his first love!
These days, there are a few more makes and models added throughout the years, but you can be guaranteed that there will always be John Deere tractors in Finnegan's. Paul has added a few "relics" to the collection and with a little bit of TLC these will be restored to their former glory.
So John Deere fans sit back and relax as we introduce the Finnegan John Deere collection 1926-2022:
-2130, 2140, 8440, 2850, 3050, 3350, 3650 x 2, 6600, 6910x 3, 7710, 7810 x 2 , 8410, 6820, 6920S, 6930 x 2, 8430, 6175R, Model A 3 wheeler, 6175R and Fastrac.
Also featured is the JCB Fastrac....we couldn't leave that out as it's used quite a bit here on the farm. Thanks to all who have supported our videos during 2021. We hope to see a lot more of you in 2022. From our family to yours, we wish you all a safe, happy and healthy New Year!

Happ new years guy's. Love watching the videos. Serous yard of tractors there. It's a bigger yard since we were up with ye, many years ago buying a Pace packer Palletiser from Paul. Fair play. Hard work obviously pays off 👏

Great video lads.The first JD I ever sat on let alone drive was in 1972,JD 2020,great brakes, and turning circle.As we used to say,"it would turn on a sixpence"we used it mainly for spraying.Actually I think it would have originated not to far from your place..

Just came across your KZfaq by chance...or by algorithm and I am really enjoying it. I reminisce about a trip to Ireland in 2001. It has been too long and I wanted to visit for a 20 year anniversary this year (last September) but the world is not ready for travel. I am a US, Minnesota fan. Many great KZfaq farmers around here, Larson Farms, Millennial Farmer, Cole the Cornstar, Sonne Farms. The company I work for also does manufacturing for precision agriculture and I enjoy seeing the technology applied. Your operations look awesome, well done, well organized and a professional operation. Happy New Year and looking forward to more content.

The discipline around that yard to keep that concrete as clean as it is, it can be extremely difficult especially when there is a lot of people in and out

I'm the previous owner and restorer of your Model A John Deere. It was built in 1936. The year is stamped on the side. Currently restoring a 2130.

It depends what age you are young guys go for 6r my favourite is 8410 followed by 6910 👍

6250r is fine tractor and it performs every bit of good as 240 but puma is better value and easier on fuel

I have a question about the hours worked on a tractor. If a tractor has, say, 5000 hours worked but has mostly been on a plough i.e. hard work all its life, how does that compare to a tractor with 5000 hours cutting grass in parks for a City Council, which wouldn't put as much strain on the machine? If buying 2nd hand, is it down to an expert eye to tell a tractor that has worked hard all its life from one that's had an easier life, but with the same hours worked. Clearly, I'm not from a farming background. Love all the farming videos though.

I would check it’s service history if possible and if your buying from a private buyer have a look at how the rest of equipment is maintained on the farm, road work is harder on tractor than field work

We were to get one out last harvest for a few days but it didn’t happen so hopefully this spring the fendt dealer is just a bit further away but I always thought they were lovely tractor 👍
