Episode 190 of Mike Finnegan's Garage is a big one. We've got a road trip, a snowstorm, a broken Cummins-swapped and airbagged crew cab dually, a 53ft long car trailer hauling several Tri-Five Chevy's and it all happens in the span of three days! You're gonna watch this til the end!!!!
Thanks for supporting this channel and special thanks to Brandon

Dickey was a great person. To keep me out of trouble as a kid he let me work on his property one summer and at the end of the summer he gave me a 54 210 coupe and let me work on the weekends for parts. He showed me how to work on cars and how to floor pans in the car.

Dave should check out another KZfaq channel called “DD Speed Shop”. A young hot rodder in Manitoba, Canada. He loves tri-five Chevys. He isn’t into total restorations, but he has done lots of panel repairs. He has found a easier way to replace complete floor pans. He quite often updates the brakes and suspension. Makes them safe. He is currently working on a 57? Nomad. That one he is working on to more finished completion. He has done a lot of 4 dr to 2 dr conversions. He has run into the issue about what doors work on a wagon or Nomad. He also has done a ‘56 wagon. I’m not trying to promote his channel, but just wanted to share some information for Dave. Cheers from Northern Alberta Canada.

I am so happy you got to meet Dickie Lee. He was a great man - very knowledgeable about cars and understood people. Put together two cars with help of Mr. Jones, back in the early 90s. Wife's '57 station wagon and my '55 sedan. Big Spring was a regular haunt. Like hallowed ground for cars. If you need it for a tri-five, he pretty much would have had it. There used to be a picture of my '55 on his wall. His wife Linda was one of the more charming women I've ever met. Saddened when I heard of his passing. RIP Dickie Lee! Some time in your life, you need to just throw caution to the wind. Load up in an old car/truck/hot rod and just go do "it" without thinking, planning or worrying about the logistics. Too many people live in a small bubble of the world scared by anything outside of their comfort zone. You get a call to go pick up 4 shoebox Chevys, you don't try to figure how to make it work, you just jump on it and think about it later. Just read the obituary and it’s sad to see this man leave us too soon. I’d like to thank you for sharing the videos of his cars and especially him because he lived his dream to do what he wanted.

It sucks that that old timer Dickie is gone, but it's also kinda a positive thing.. old dude was perfectly willing to let those amazing cars rot into the ground rather than part with them. Such is life I suppose, change is the only constant.

Have you thought of doing a ghost long roof estate similar to a Buick Cabelaro estate, on a 57 sport 4 door. Caused reckon it'll blow people's mind on the hot rod scenes.
