Finnish For Beginners: Do you know some "small words" in Finnish? In this lesson we’ll be looking at some small words in Finnish and sentences with further explanations of these words and their use :) for example No niin! Which means SO which in this context is often said just before you’re about to do something and “lhan tosi” means really.
The link to the info for the play I'm acting in is at here:

Kiitos videosta. Opettaja, when I say "I use this new stove", do I use accusative or partitive? (Accusative) Käytin tämän uuden lieden. (Partitive) Käytin tätä uutta liettä. I think I must use accusative.

I am not the teacher, but I'll answer. Partitive is correct: "Käytin liettä" or "Käytin hellaa". (Hella is probably a more common word than liesi.) Always use the partitive, unless there is some definite end result with the object. (You might say: "Käytin tämän lieden loppuun", implying that you used it until it did not work anymore.)

@@PaulVinonaama QUESTION: But in IMPERATIVE form, must I still use the partitive? Or the basic form? Use the stove! (imperative) Käytä liesi! Käytä hella! OR Käytä liettä! Käytä hellaa!

Yes, you still use the partitive form. "Käytä hellaa"

@@finnishwithsean1341 I think I misunderstood what my book says (Teach Yourself Finnish, p. 274), because, this book says that in IMPERATIVE we must use the basic form (accusative/nominative), BUT in the following topic, this book says that there are verbs that ALWAYS take the partitive, such as, ETSIÄ (search), ODOTTAA (wait for), RAKASTAA (love), VIHATA (hate), PELÄTÄ (fear) and so on. REQUEST: It would be very important to make a video explaining that some verbs, EVEN in IMPERATIVE form, ALWAYS take the partitive form, MAKING a list of most common verbs in everyday life.
