Did you know, that in the Northern parts of Germany, the people greet with *Moin*? All day long, whenever they meet! Even in other parts of Germany the people ask themselves: "Why do they say `Moin´ all day long?" - as it seems to be a shortened version of `Guten Morgen´ (Good `morning´) - but it isn´t! We also say it in the evening! ;-)

Yes, I think some language studies have been suggesting that the Finnish Moi comes maybe from the German Moin! It's so fascinating!
