MORE FREDDIE PLEASE!!! I’d especially love you to look at/compare pieces where he’s singing at the TOP and at his LOWER registers. (Montserrat Cabelle’ said Freddie was naturally a baritone, even tho he usually chose to sing as a tenor.) PLEASE REACT TO: “Exercises In Free Love” (There is an EXCELLENT video by: Thulerius Vril channel.) AND “Ensueno” (There is a video available for “Ensueno” w both Spanish & English subtitles on: SONURT CHANNEL.) ALSO: (For high singing)… Freddie’s LIVE “IMPROMPTUS”, especially on: Saturday, July 12, 1986 at Wembley Stadium (There is a REMASTERED video by: VIDEO REMASTER ITA.) ALSO: “Cool Cat” “Soul Brother” (For lower baritone)… “I’m Going Slightly Mad” LASTLY: There are TWO LIVE performances of “It’s A Hard Life” AT: Tokyo in 1985 AND Rock In Rio 1985 (The BEST-quality Rio video is on: Mi estuche de Dvds …It is BETTER than the video on Queen official.)

@@annavaskelainen I can only speak for what I know of Queen fans, which is that they ALWAYS ask for live performances because Queen is the ONLY band that’s famous for being even BETTER LIVE. 😄 (Also, most reactors will only do ONE version of a song, then they move on… so of course we’re going to say “LIVE PLEASE”)😸 There are many Queen songs, tho, that are COMPLETELY different with studio vs live, because studio mixes have complicated/intricate harmonies/overlays… but, Queen always insisted on performing with no supplemental backing tapes, so they always REWORKED live renditions. (They also always changed things from one live show to another, so repeat attendees always got a DIFFERENT experience.) The most POPULAR song that Queen fans ALWAYS ask for is “Somebody To Love” live (which you obviously just saw the most well-known performance of, at Montreal.) There’s another FANTASTIC rendition: MILTON KEYNES BOWL in 1982 …POWERFUL & spontaneous, this is the version in Queen’s official compilation of Best Live Performances. (The BEST-quality remastered video is on: Chief Mouse channel… It’s a clearer nighttime image than the official Queen channel’s video.) These two different performances also show Freddie’s live VERSATILITY!

Their music has a positive and uplifting message. They have a The First Take performance that showcases the lead singer’s amazing voice: BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano ver. / THE FIRST TAKE The fan base will lead you to other performances with live vocals. 🖖 ❤

The one thing most people don’t recognize in this performance is there are four people on the stage ,that’s it. No back up vocalist no backing track just for guys who are masters at their craft. The ability of Roger Taylor, to play drums and harmonize with one of the greatest vocalist of all times is so underrated.

Couldn’t agree more mate. If it weren’t for Freddy being an absolute vocal master, RT would easily be lead singer of Queen. And he wasn’t just playing basic beats whilst performing those vocals, he’s drumming his heart out and never skipping a beat. Absolute masters at work.

"I won't be a Rock Star. I will be a Legend." -Freddie Mercury🔥 Classic after classic after classic, it's crazyyyyy...Freddie was one of the greatest frontman of all time, with a vocal control like no other (ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes with immense precision and shift through registers effortlessly). The all members brought something unique + the fact that they all wrote songs is something that many people don't realize:)). Queen broke barriers in music and took it to another dimension. Thank YOU, Anna!!! Can't wait for your analysis 🎶♥️🎶🔥 Can you pleeease include on your list an artist from my country with an incredible, unique and therapeutic voice that soothes the soul: MARO:)

Wow. In my book, that’s how you maximize your stage time and performance. You get up there, and you give it your all just like they did. You get yourself going and keep yourself going. You pour on the passion and you shoot for showmanship. And you just harness as much energy as you can, to put it into overdrive and send it all over the top. Then in the end you’ve created a great rendition for the ages. Bravo.

Anna, Queen's album "A Kind of Magic" (1986), used in the HBO made for cable movie 'The Highlander' (a ripping good film, by the way) had some excellent tracks on it. One of the best was 'Who Wants to Live Forever'. Freddy really shows his range and sings his ass off on that track. So good. I think the video that shows Freddie, and Queen, at their most versatile, for me, it would have to be the live, Live Aid 1985 video. 16 minutes of pure Queen covering several different songs and techniques. It is even more spectacular when you understand that Freddie was recovering from recent surgery on his throat, and his surgeon had advised him not to sing that day. Also, the way the audience reacted to them, and their performance was outstanding, and reputedly stole the show.

Great reaction and analysis, as always. I appreciate the subtitles because while I am an English speaker, I have to admit that Finnish is much more pleasing to the ear than English. Freddie was one of the best examples of the difference between a singer and a performer. Since we are talking about classic rock, I recently discovered the Canadian three-piece band, Triumph. They were an Award-Winning band in the '70s and '80s but were often overshadowed by Rush, because, well, it's Rush. I think you would have a lot to talk about with lead singer and guitarist, Rik Emmett's, voice. He had a soaring voice and is a phenomenal guitarist at the same time. The rest of the band is great too. I hope you have a chance to check out "Fight the Good Fight" from their US Festival concert in 1983 (link below). Aside from his vocals, the whole band puts on an awesome show and they have one of the best outros I've seen in a while. I'm guessing this was the last song of their set. Great work and keep fighting the good fight. See what I did there?😉 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jsumlppenLrPXYU.htmlsi=VKdbXIYDgopHMRBU

A "monument" of music, still a vulnerable and sensitive artist - in my opinion. I admit being pretty hyped for your reaction Anna. One-time watching won't do to get all the details of your Anna-lysis. But it's always worth the time 😊👍🎼🎶👍

I've been listening to Queen for decades and never knew that he used hammer vibrato. All I ever knew was that he sounded spectacularly unique. Now I know one of the many reasons why!!!! (also, in my defense though... I didn't even know there was such a thing until all y'all KZfaq vocal coaches told me. 😜 ) Thank you for this, Anna!!! 💗

6:06 in this moment, the look on your face is the realization that you said that you are going to explain this and you are going to watch the unexplainable. The actual drummer and guitarist are just going along. Actually, the guitarist broke his string and if you pay close enough attention, you can see him going in the back and changing it in less than one minute and coming out to harmonize. Freddie actually watching for him. Roger on the drums stuck singing as long as Freddie wants to improvise. It’s a whole thing 😂❤🫶🏻 9:22 I love your response!

I like that you heard and applauded the trading of harmony vocals at about 4 minutes.. they made that seem so easy, but it is not

Brian May said in an interview that his guitar solos mostly are based on the idea of taking over from the vocals, continuing, extrapolating on and developing the song's theme/story and then handing it back. So - his guitar is actually yet another vocalist 😁😉.
