I made an translation. It is surely better than the original one, but not exact or any way precise. But what the lyrics actually mean, should be more clear now. There are a couple of sentences in Russian, so I used google to figure out what each of those could mean, but I might be wrong so don't take it as granted. Finlandia, Finlandia, -Finlandia, Finlandia, Sinne taas matkalla oli Iivana. -That is where the Ivan was aheaded Kun Molotoffi lupasi juu kaikki harosii, -When Molotov promised "sure everything yes/good" Huomenna jo Helsingissä syödään marosii. -Tomorrow we shall eat ice cream in Helsinki. Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff, -No Molotov, no Molotov! Valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff. -You lied more than Bobrikov himself. Finlandia, Finlandia, -Finlandia, Finlandia, Mannerheimin linja oli vastus ankara -The Mannerheim lines resistance was harsh Kun Karjalassa alkoi hirmu tulitus, -When the horrible firing started in Karelia, Loppui monen Iivanan puhepulitus. -Stopped the babbling of many Ivans Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff, No Molotov, No Molotov, Valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff. -You lied more than Bobrikov himself. Finlandia, Finlandia, -Finlandia, Finlandia, Sitä pelkää voittamaton Puna-Armeija. -That is what the invincible red army is afraid of. Ja Molotoffkin sanoi että katsos tšjort vozmii, And Molotov said: "Damn you!" ((This I do not know and google suggests it is a swear word but not mentioned what it literally means)) Tsuhna aikoo käydä meitä kraivelista kii. -"The finns are about to get a grab on the collar" Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff, -No Molotov, no Molotov! Valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff. -You lied more than Bobrikov himself. Uralin taa, Uralin taa, -Behind the Ural, behind Ural Siellä onpi Molotoffin torpan maa. -There is the land of Molotovs croft Sinne pääsee Stalinit ja muutkin huijarit, -Stalin and all other liars can go there too. Politrukit, komissaarit ja petroskoijarit. [as well as] -Political comissarees, comissarees and pro russian liars. Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff, -No Molotov, No Molotov! Valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff. - You lied more than Bobrikv himself.

"tšjort vozmii" is more like "Damn it" or "Dang it".

@Finnish Marxist-Leninist Hahaha like that is a thing. You'll just making it worse by making the votes rigged. Voting only for the same person overtime. Yes, most of the socialist country in the 1970's is better than it's neighbors. But why does it failed? Cause' it doesn't have anything more to share. Slavery is on its way. Tell me, is the education and economy good in Cuba? It's the true socialist that still existed.

"Valehtelit" has nothing to do with remembering. "Valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff." is roughly: "You lie(d) more than Bobrikoff himself."

Videon lataaja ei kuulemma ole itse suomalainen, vaan otti käännöksen suoraan netistä. Varmaan ei kuitenkaan ollut valinnut suoraa käännöstä, vaan pikemminkin englanninkielisen sanoituksen, joka saattaa ottaa hieman vapauksia käännöksen suhteen jotta sanat saadan sovitettua melodian kanssa

On kyllä harvinaisen huonosti käännetty. Turhan paljon voimasanoja lisäilty, laulun sävy muuttuu täysin.
@toinenprofessori7712 жыл бұрын
The English translation of the lyrics is miserable in many places. Even the original text is sometimes misunderstood; the Russian swear word °tshort vazmi° is translitterated as °torppas niin° which would mean °your cottage so°. No effort is made to translate this into English, because it makes no sense.
@Viskas.2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I am not a Finn myself. I picked the best source I managed to find. It's hard knowing whether the translations make sense.
