Hey all, we are Fiordland Outdoors, the water taxi company for the Fiordland Wapiti Blocks. Since Scott has mentioned our boat being late in the video, we just wanted to let viewers know that one of our skippers let us down this day and neglected to turn up for work, hence the hunters that day were 2 hours late getting to their blocks. Needless to say, we were absolutely gutted and if any of you have used our services before in Fiordland you will know this isn't how we do things. We did refund 25% of the pick up charter for all the hunters that day ( costing us over $2000) and of course we did a coffee run on the way up for everyone. Just wanted to clarify that yes we did muck up but hopefully we made it right as we know no one wants to be late to their ballot! Thanks.

Heaps of information there, cheers. we had similar weather as you for our Edith hunt 2023. Took us 3 days to get to the saddle due to weather as well. The Henderson was over 3m high and raging. We carried on down to the Edith Basecamp but the rain and river crossings fought us the whole way. We were just lucky enough to get a bull on our way down.

Man that place is something else, pity about the weather but you take what you get and thatsvhunting where ever you go. Good vid enjoyed it just shows what that country can throw at ya ☝☝☝
