Fire Alarm And CO Alarm Test That I Do Once A 3 Months

This is me showing you and testing the fire alarms and CO alarms that I have got in my house, I show you the different makes, the series their from (e.g. like the Aico Ei141 is from the Ei140 series) and models (but of course there are some with an unknown model) and I test the sounders and sensors to make sure they are working, this is something I do once a 3 months. But there are some alarms that are hard to test (e.g. the Aico mains heat alarm is hard to have it's sensor tested with a hair dryer and the Aico mains smoke alarms are hard to test with smoke spray so then I have to use real smoke from a match, but of course please do not do this because it can be dangerous!), so I had been struggling and having delays testing them and have been choking from the smoke spray. Also there are some that still had testing spray in their sensing chamber, so then I ended up having to take the battery out until I thought that the chamber had cleared. In your sisters room you have an EI 100B smoke alarm and the ones from 1990 are 100BN

Good vid, we use to have these smoke alarms, ionisation upstairs, optical downstairs, but they got replaced with newer aicos New subscriber!

Ionisation dont detect smoke as well as Optical. Optical- Smoke and Flame Ionization- Flame

Optical smoke and heat = Smoke and flame. Of course, Aico's 3000 Series alarms don't come with ionisation.

The Kidde kinda reminds me of the North American industrial fire alarms that have the light which lights up at the same time as the horn or bell.

@@calumbrooknicolson Before I. Our house we had KIDDE Fryencis smoke alarms I still ha e heat detector but the smoke alarms are gone now from before wich is sad because my mum threw them away when I was little :(

@@calumbrooknicolson all the ionisation smoke alarms, get rid of them. Watch a video of ionisation vs photoelectric smoke alarms and it will show you how bad ionisation smoke alarms are

You only need to spray the detector for 1 second than that's it so you don't cotmaninate the detector

I tested my fireangel st622 today and sprayed a bit of deodorant and it went off and then reactivated. So try not to spray a lot
