Welcome to my Ironman run of Fire Emblem 7, Hector Hard Mode. The rules for this run are simple, I cannot reset under any circumstances. Any units lost are gone forever. If I get a game over, the run is over, and I have to begin all the way from the start. Will I be able to beat the game in a single sitting? Find out.

The bright side is, technically, by losing your run with Zephiel’s death, you actually beat your FE6 run. You killed Zephiel.

@@corn4618 yeah, what I corrected op on is that Mangs didn't "lose both" since that would imply he "had" Zephiel at any point, which can only maybe go for fe7 where you protect him, but not for fe6 where you fight him. While "losing to both" would mean losing as a result of both of them.

Leif at least has a personal sword with 1-2 range. With how obnoxious the early manster chapters are, he can be a decent combat unit with the stat boosters you can get. Contrast that to Lyn who's basically unsuseable on her join chapter in HHM.... Wellllllll

To be honest I would had done the same if I was doing an ironman run, the arena doesn't give you time to think about yielding. But once again, I wouldn't risk throwing a main character in.

He had no way of knowing Lyn was doubling the pirate at that point. Pirates often have pretty impressive speed, and that's not even considering the outrageously bullshit units that can generate in the arena. He would be gambling everything on the pirate being more than 4 speed under Lyn, and the 33 displayed hit (20 true hit) failing to connect. You don't get very far into Ironman runs by casually risking a 20% chance at a game over for some measley experience points and gold.

John I agree，and I for sure can see his eager to meme，it's the cost that's too big，a freshly promoted Bosswin. Plus it's a killer axe，not very likely but still a decent chance. I would say look at how many times Lyn faced a chance of death in this compilation，the rng just ends up in a fair place for him，lost Oswin due to a crit+backfire，but Lyn survived a couple of times.

Okay, so uh spoilers for those who haven't watched yet QUICK REMINDER EVERYBODY FE7 uses True Hit. "95%" in game hit chance is... 99.55% in actual chance. Mangs died to a 0.45% chance Edit: As the bottom comments have already pointed out, it's not called true hit, it's called the 2RN system

Ouch. I was lucky I got to see the final moments live for a change. I vote for next Ironman run to be Shadow Dragon over Sacred Stones. I know nothing about the gaiden whatever chapters, but I think it be cool to see the gaiden characters you get if enough of your party members are dead by certain chapters.

Eliwood had so much hit on the guy. Nobody would have done what you're saying because hitting that Sleep is even far less unlikely than hitting with a 95% hit rate. Moreover, this is double RNG so that 95 was really close to 100. It was just bad luck that Eliwood missed not bad tactics.

@@Fraudkuna Impossible. Canas had already moved before Eliwood even attacked. Plus, had Canas missed that Sleep before healing Eliwood, Mangs would not only have to worry about Zephiel he'd also have to worry about Eliwood dying.

Ryan Maliwat Either way do you know who hadn’t moved yet? LYN. And do you know what Lyn would’ve given him? Hit. Enough that would’ve been a 100% hit chance. Also he could’ve moved Canas, attempted to sleep from close range, then attacked with eliwood if it missed. So yes. It was bad tactics. It was a bad play in a tense situation. Only difference from the rest of the deaths is that this one caused a game over.

@@GobaGNon It wasn't bad tactics. Eliwood was also not at full health so even if it did work out the way you say it would have there was still a big chance that Eliwood could have died instead. Moreover, Moving Lyn close does solve the problem but is not something you or anyone else would have done considering that Eliwood had, in true hit, literally 99.55% on the Hero. It wasn't bad tactics. It's simply bad luck. If you say that you would have moved Lyn before Eliwood then I'm sorry man but you're probably just talking out of your ass.
