Actually there's quite a substantial amount of references, most of them having to do with Awakening's plot and DLC. Grima, the Harvest Festival DLC, and their original timeline to name a few.

I wish they keep going with them too, since I've had Inigo as my character's son and grown attach to him I see him as my character's son no matter what game he's in and Owain and Severa became my favorites when they returned I fates but sadly There's a possibility this might their last game since they already used them twice and feel like since their popularity is slowly decreasing for unknown reasons this might be the last time we'll see them which sucks because they're actually great characters and made great children in awakening AND made great parents in fates

There are three reincarnations in Birthright: Cordelia, Tharja and Gaius become Caeldori (Subaki's kid), Harjat (Hayato's kid), and Asugi (Saizo's kid).

I feel like some of the children here are still in reference to Awakening's children. - Cynthia has Sophie's clumsiness and Percy's desire for heroism. - Yarne is somehow similar to Ignatius because they get frightened in battle easy because of polar opposite crit quotes. - Like Dwyer, who makes tea for his mother, Brady makes tea for his father as well and both start as healers as well (Priest and Troubadour) - Nina and Gerome are quite similar because at first they wouldn't trust their father to be a part of their "family", but in the end they have a newly found respect for them. Well, that's all I can think of, I haven't gotten around to playing Birthright (or Revelations) because I only have Conquest.

videocreator970 well in their dlc corrins sister said that he/she was kidnap by the mad king so corrin must be 6-7 when they are kidnap & thrown in the tower and corrins dad gives them the first blood item (which alows them to use dragon veins) & said that it will wear off in few years so by the time the game start's all 3 Awakening kids should be around the mid to late 20's minimum at maximum late 20's early 30's

it's funny because grima is more powerful and larger than anankos. he is impossible at frontal fight to defeat because of his unless u took down his weak spot which is the avatar. anankos is Dragon of course too but he has no weaknesses that is why he is harder to take down.

(Broken Record) In Japan they had a popularity which 1st gen FEA you want to see back as 2nd gen. What 2nd gen characters you want to see back in fates as 1st gen. Gauis, Tharja, and Cordelia won for thier poll. While Severa, Owain, and Ingio won for theres. I wished Gerome, Cynthia , and Noire would replaced Asugi, Caledori and Rajaht.Asugi, Caledori and Rajaht placed in the low 20's in the popularity poll.

In the Before Awakening Xenologue Chrom mentioned that Nohr and Hoshido are but mythical kingdoms in his time, which implies that Fates took place ages before Awakening. That Xenologue itself does take place a few moments before the Shepherds meet Robin though, so the most logical explanation is that the portal that Corrin etc. took lead to the future (at the beginning of Awakening, while Selena, Odin and Laslow came from even further into the future, namely shortly after the end of the game).

I took him calling Nohr and Hoshido "Mythical Kingdoms'" to mean that they're in stories, but don't actually exist (in his world) and thus placing Fates in a separate world/universe altogether, with people crossing the realms from time to time, which is why information on Nohr and Hoshido is even known.

Ohtori Sakuya Another world. Mythical Kingdoms doesnt have to mean from the past... or else the Jugdrali saga, the Magvelian tales, the Elibean legends, and the Tellian lore will have to be in the same timeline as well and considering that the Fire Emblem is a different object in each series, that is not possible.

I don't remember what it was, but one of the extra content available from the Dragon's Gate had the avatar traveling to another world to track down the invisible soldiers, and a prince there mentions that Hoshido and Nohr were kingdoms of legends. It might be possible that the Awakening world is also a legend for the Fates world, with stories of their own heroes. (Owain, Inigo, and Severa). Or maybe not. I don't know.
