I really do like how Tiawa and Drummidary always play together in every song they’re both in, they’re basically a dynamic duo at this point!

I did NOT expect the fire quints to go anywhere other than Amber Island but I'm so happy they did.

This update is so good, I can forgive them for not releasing the new Ethereal monsters frequently. I love how the Fire monsters get more time to shine and some of the fire monsters that were underutilized on Amber island get a redemption arc on the magical islands.

tuskski’s sound is a surprisingly REALLY good fit for fairy island, and krillby just sounds amazing. their little animation in between playing is adorable and vibrant as well. what an unexpected but great update to the game, i’m so happy we got to hear more of the amber island monsters. especially the quints!! edit:i came back to share thoughts on light island. it gets a lot of hate, so i know i’ll get people who disagree, but i believe this update perfected it. the song is so beautiful, definitely now one of my favorite msm songs ever

As much as I love Faerie island and it’s additions, Psychic island has been the most improved to my by a long shot. Bowhead does so much for it.

This is the biggest update the game has ever seen. Fire Expansion added 13 new Monster sounds and updated 5 Islands today. Amazing, wonderful, phenomenal!!! Everyone sounds beautiful on their new islands! Quint Justice achieved!

If I were to rank my personal likes I’d say this: 1. Light Island, it was so amazing I love how it sounds so much less repetitive and even tribal and ethereal !! 2. Faerie Island, Krillby and PongPing sound absolutely amazing with a Tuskski cherry on top !! 3. Bone Island, man I wish Gnarls and Flum Ox sung together but I’d probably explode, Incisaur with a great sound as always ! 4. Psychic Island, I had a harder time hearing the monsters on this one but they were still amazing when I heard them individually Overall this is probably one of the best MSM updates ever and a fantastic year, my jaw dropped when I saw the reveal trailer !! Note: I’m so dang happy Candelavra sounds both great AND loud enough on Fire Haven !! It is an amazing addition and I’m happy they used a good volume where they aren’t so overly loud but not too overly quiet !

This is a confusing update, but I know I will get somewhat used to it, also, strange fact: It’s easier to get the fire quads by using star power to get their rares, so I would advise saving your relics for the quints and using star power to buy the rare quads since they sing the same.

Thank you, Edamimi, for adding more percussion to Psychic Island. We were definitely lacking in that regard.

The monster-handlers has once again, boggled our minds, and blew them up! I was NOT expecting them to bring back the Amber island exclusives to Fire Haven, and the magical islands! I thought for sure we’d be getting the Werdos on Fire Haven, rare Candelavra, rare Spurrit, and rare Bona-Petite, and call it a day, but they threw us for a loop once again! They served them pretty well on the magical islands, ESPECIALLY to the three lesser-played quints of Amber, such as Bowhead! Also, I like how the expansion is the main event, and we mostly completely forgot about rare Spurrit, and rare Bona-Petite.😅

I genuinely cried tears of joy for the first time in YEARS when listening to Light Island this morning. This is the biggest update we've had since Rare Wublins, honestly.

i didnt even think the update was real at first but i am beyond pleasantly surprised, im glad they're using the quints on other islands since i feel like they have so much potential

Hey MPG! Bowhead actually plays throughout the entire Psychic Island song but you might have missed it's first track! You also missed the new star rocks on Seasonal Shanty, Magical Sanctum and Mythical Island. And this might not be really noticeable but the dipsters changed a little on Faerie Island too! 😊

I just absolutely love how the magical islands and fire haven now sound so triumphant, almost as if the monsters were celebrating the fire quads and quints now being able to play another song and not being just bound to amber island :)

I really hope that the other quints will also go to their elemental island like gnarls to plant island, Bowhead to water etc.

I had the exact same reaction when i watched the trailer premiere, i was SO COMFUSED! But i do know ill get used to it at some point. Tbh Gnarls absolutely KILLED his performance on bone island and i am so obsessed with gnarls its my favorite quint

THIS IS GENUINELY ONE OF THE BEST UPDATES OF THE ENTIRE GAME. It was just so unexpected and solved so many problems in the game as well as was perfectly executed.

The fact that Fire haven now has single double triple quad quint and the "Hex/Wubbox" on one island is insane also Bowhead has 1 more track it and it just decides to play thru the whole song

I love Light Island now. When I listened to the full song it made me emotional and I was tearing up when Yelmut played with Drummidary.

Krillby on Faerie Island is not something I knew I needed in life, Faerie being my favorite Magical island, and Kirllby just Popping off with those Harmonies with Floot Fly. Just Absolutely Phenomenal!

I've made a theory on *WHY EACH MONSTER IS ON EACH ISLAND* Just follow up: About four of the Quads, it's because four of them were part of the original Island when the Magical Islands were Fire Islands: - Yelmut was the quad for Fire Fantasia (Fire Version of Light Island) - Edamimi was the quad for Fire Frontier (Fire Version of Psychic Island) - Krillby was the quad for Fire Park (Fire Version of Faerie Island) - Flum Ox was the quad for Fire Bastion (Fire Version of Bone Island) About the other four Quads, all i could find in common between them and their Islands was their design: - Tiawa has very vibrant and light colors, fitting with Light Monsters when singing - Bisonorus have a similar color scheme to Psychic Island (purple and orange) - PongPing... I don't know much about this one though, maybe because it kinda looks like a Worm of some kind..? I'm not so sure - Incisaur has a design very similar to bones or a Dinossaur Fossil So, what about the Quints? Excluding the Air Quint (which is not a Fire Monster, thus, is not on the Fire Expansion), all the elements follow he REVERSE order of the Islands! The in-game element order is: Plant, Cold, Air (which is not here, explained earlier), Water, Earth and Fire So, what about it backwards? Fire, Earth, Water, Cold and Plant - Candelavra, the Fire Quint is on Fire Haven - Drummidary, the Earth Quint is on Light Island - Bowhead, the Water Quint is on Psychic Island - Tuskski, the Cold Quint is on Faerie Island - Gnarls, the Plant Quint is on Bone Island

27:51 ... umm MPG, that's not something you should exclaim before exhaling deeply. I never noticed how the Rare versions actually hinted toward this update. This just goes to show you how far in advance the Monster Handlers are planning. I'm pretty sure we would have gotten the new map in this update, if they were able to finish it in time, but I think they're now going to save it for Perplexplore 2024. That event just makes way more sense for a map update.

Im so happy that the fire monsters from Amber Island got a chance to be rejuvenated and redeemed!! They made the magical islands so much better to me now!!

I like the fire expansion giving more fire monsters to magical islands but I’m sadly broke when it comes to relics

This may not be true, but it is most likely that Yelmut, Edamimi, Krillby, And Flum Ox's Magical Island sounds are actually just taken straight from the scrapped Fire Islands (Frontier, Bastion etc.) that were made all the way back in 2018. This is mainly because if you listen to how the sounds are played, you can actually find a Magical monster on the same island that fits almost perfectly. For example, Edamimi: Periscorp's tracks Krillby: Floot Fly's track and maybe Cantorell's too? Flum Ox: Maybe Plinkajou's? (might've been sped up) Yelmut: (This is by far the most obvious one.) Blow't (I mean it is literally just a vocal version of Blowt's track, also Yelmuts voice actor is obviously different from Amber Island, so it makes perfect sense.) This kind of already happened with Whaddle on Amber Island too so it's basically confirmed that they still have the 4 scrapped songs somewhere in a file or something.

As a new player with barely any relics, the limited time is heartbreaking

did not expect this! psychic island continues to be my favourite magical island i love how all the monsters on faerie make sense to be there, krillby was originally meant to be on the island (before magicals were added), pongping was an unused monster (like floot fly) and tuskski could be seen as fairytale giant bone island sounds good as usual light island getting the best trio of quads and quints out of all of them today was really good, love how drummidary sounds on it

They fixed Light island, emphasized the boss music likeness of psychic, made Faerie even better than it originally was, and made bone island in-sane. Best update no doubt. Only thing I was hoping for from this is that you could warp monsters from Amber to their new islands but I guess I just gotta keep farming those relics :(

with a quint on every fire island, i think we can expect mimic to come to fire oasis at some point in the future! that does leave fire haven and fire oasis a bit behind the magical islands in terms of "expansion monsters", so heres my crazy theory: natural quads on the fire islands! deedge already has a second home in shugabush island, so that leaves entbrat, riff, shellbeat, and quarrister to split between fire haven and fire oasis. this could be a second "expansion event" that happens with perplexplore in may to mirror the fire expansion with feast-ember in november. even if im reaching a bit too far with my natural quads theory, i do think that this is when well finally see mimic finally come to the original game on fire oasis.

As you said, they DID know this was coming because Tyson revealed that Tuskski's arrival on Faerie was teased by the events of the Cloverspell trailer.

I loved how long this video was! the fact they put so much into one update is INSANE! Having Amber Island monsters on the magical islands, Rare Candleavera, Rare Spurrit, Rare Bona-Petite, and the new Feast-Ember skin! And I also loved how lively all the fire quads and quints are now! I have to say, I didn't like the magical islands too much, but now? THEY'RE SOME OF MY FAVORITE ISLANDS IN THE GAME! Faerie and Light improved in my opinion the most, but Bone and Psychic were really good too! So this is why there was no update last week, so worth it!
