Thanks Eng. Irfan for the video. I have a question roaming my mind: Let’s say we have 3 pumps (joceky, electric, diesel), in normal situation (standby condition) What readings should I expect to see on each suction/discharge line gauge? Should they all be identical?

When pumps are not running, discharge guage reading is zero or slightly high since there is nrv in discharge line.

Distance of flowmeter to either isolation valves should be as recomended by the meter manufacturer. This is as per NFPA 20 2022, A Explanatory notes, A.4.22.1.3 (1) and figure A.4.22.1.3(a) and A.4.22.1.3 (b)

Where do I usually find the flexible connector in terms of location in my piping? And Is it required on all systems?

Flexible connection is not usually installed in fire pumps suction and discharge piping. However, Please refer to NFPA 20 (Ed 2019), Section 4.16.6.5, flexible coupling for strain relief can be used on suction piping.

What is the flange used in suction side of pumps and water tank called?

There is no specific terminology for suction side flange. The type of flange can be either slip on flange or raised face flange to be considered based on the fire pump suction side flange. For the water tank, a puddle flange will be installed. Let me know for any further queries.
