We wanted to shine some more light on the IPP situation as you know this platform never forgets the forgotten and we have faith in their ability to change their lives upon release. For Season 7 Episode 5 (Red Flags) we invited Firebarz to share his story as living proof.
Having lost his mother at 9 years old, he already felt like the world was against him at an early age. He was naturally gifted academically but found it hard to focus on school. It wasn’t long before he started getting in trouble with the police.
His first proper sentence was 4 years for possession of a firearm, which he did 3 years out of. There is where he started rapping and when he was freed, he pursued a music career, working with many top artists such as K Koke and Mike GLC to name a few. He started a DVD called ‘WHO’S THE HARDIZ’ featuring all the top artists at the time.
His progress was abruptly ended with him receiving a 5 year IPP sentence for a GBH Section 18 with intent. Working his ticket, he ended up serving 6 years out of that IPP. 5 months later he was back in prison on a conspiracy charge for which he then got 16 years with first parole after 11 years. Total madness.
Out for over a year now, he has managed to find his feet and is building his platform ⁠ aswell as taking care of his family and staying on the straight and narrow. Inspiring for the bad youth. Change is possible and necessary.
After hearing his story, we put him through his ‘RTM Fire Round’ before getting into some ‘Current Affairs’. After some ‘RTM Banter’ we tackled the main subject which was ‘Red Flags’. The ‘RTM Dilemma’ and ‘Book Suggestion’ closed the show as usual.

Cream saying she'll ride out for Spray if he got hit with crazy allegations was very endearing and sweet to watch, it reminded me of when Spray had to check Wack 100 for saying all that crazy shit to Cream. The Brotherly and Sisterly bond between them is the pinnacle of why the Podcast is so entertaining and great to watch. Long may they continue to provide the brilliant content that keeps us all locked in every week! Loving the new venue, definitely levelling up! Started watching this pod couple days ago for the laughs watched few episodes, really impressed a lot of gems people can take back, if they analyse it in the right way(not like jail is fun, like it seems sometimes) but defo gonna stay locked in💯💯 spray defo a madman😂😂 ice cream really integral to the show and only speaks facts when she does

Big up RTM everytime but the whole Dutch stance was mad icl. Just because someone got NFA due to lack of evidence that doesn’t make them innocent 😂 Bare ppl get away with stuff and get NFA but we know they did stuff It’s even worse with them man, they get light sentences and it’s rare that they get bagged doing stuff online cause they plead their phone was “hacked” The evidence is on the net, let’s do some research before we call a man innocent just because the law wasn’t broken. With a good solicitor, that case would have been easy to buss.
