Try checking the user call response by logging it to the console if displayName for the logged in account is available.

You can think it as disconnecting or removing the auth listener when the component un mounts. Kind of clean up process removing any listeners. Thanks for watching

Hey thanks for watching. Basically to have admin user access firebase has a separate sdk called firebase admin which you can read here - firebase.google.com/docs/reference/admin If you want to set any normal user to have some privilege/ admin access you can use a boolean or string field in the user database (in firestore/ realtime db) to mark the user as admin. Which you can then use to show some specific options in your frontend. But definitely a safer and more secure way is to use the firebase admin sdk

hey! buddy I want ur help. I've configured firebase for my project for google sign in using popup and idk why the popup is not opening on my localhost, but as soon as I close the server, it opens. it;s really weird and I'm frustrated. I've tried all the tips from StackOverflow, downgraded the firebase version to 8 also. nothing worked. plssssss help!!!!

Please check if your browser is blocking the popup in the site settings. Else you can also try to clear all the cache and local storage from the application tab in dev tools

Hi! registerUser function is defined in the user context in the code base. You need to extract the registerUser function from the context to use that in your signup form. You can refer to the github link in the video’s description for the complete project code

I got this problem too. After reviewing the Github repo, I modified several places in my codes and then it worked. I forgot to import useSate and set the default value of loading = false.
