The Gaza tragedy has temporarily sucked all the oxygen out of the room in the news; climate change disasters will once again re-emerge as the number one news story once the Gaza horror ends. This is where we are in the early decades of the 21st century and world leaders are still dancing around the subject with platitudes and sad speeches but no real action against the crisis. So it gets worse each year; but for these besieged people in Southern Germany today the climate crisis is very real indeed.

This has nothing to do with the Lord. This is on us. We needed to "grow" fast and have cars and fly places all the time. We wanted record profits and all the best things money could buy. Now we have no stable future left because we caused the Sixth Mass Extinction and filled the atmosphere with many times GHGs as there were before fossil fuels. Nature is the victim here, and we are becoming victims due to being part of nature.

Where are your priorities? There are Germans drowning now, both firefighters and flood victims, with many missing and feared dead. The only aid delivery that should be considered is the one sent to Bayern and Baden-Württemberg.
