While checking out a warehouse as part of his Alderman's duties, Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) finds himself in a bad spot when a forklift accidentally pierces a tank storing acid causing an extremely hazardous spill.

@@mao_miror I wouldn't say that's the problem at all. From what they explain the manager tried to destroy paperwork because he clearly wasn't supposed to have those chemicals stored there. Its also why there was no warnings on the containers. The problem is the guy just stands there like a doofus waiting to die. This whole thing plays out like a fantasy of some one with a hero complex. Dude even gets trapped in a small room with a cute young lady.

Well he might have been in shock and stuck in the 'freeze' of fight, flight and freeze. Also, where could he have gone? The entire floor was covered in acid and he was in pain. His brain probably had no idea of where to go.

Are you serious? I've worked in factories and warehouses for years and fact is just like driving licenses; what you do to get the license and how you act when you have it are completely different worlds. One of my actual jobs is checking around for damage caused by the forklift drivers which they haven't reported; including gouges in the walls from the forks and dents in the shelving where they've misjudged the distance and reversed into it.

My job picks random floor workers to become forklift drivers, then they’ll give them a license someday. Also the guy who runs the lessons is close friends with the boss, so it’s cheaper for the company .

I'm assuming there has to be a reason he couldn't call 911 on his phone. Maybe there wasn't any service and the only way to call was through a landline or something. Or it's just a plot hole

the first question i would ask is , WHAT CHEMICALS ARE INVOLVED ?. never enter a situation until you have that answered . you are putting the lives of the rescuers at risk .

If ur working with quemicals especially acid which is very reactive ,, u LIGIT drench them watter . I would not recommend the usage of soap if u are not sure of what the acid / quemicals is . U just use watter to dilute the acid . Yet u can use soap after much watter and wash the wound daily .

Haven't got full context to the scene but imagine he didn't expect that strong of a chemical to be in there. Given the manager or whoever was willing to risk lives to destroy files as mentioned in the scene, I suspect Casey had no clue what he was dealing with until it was too late.

So the guy on the forklift. Was he drunk or just really tired? Reasons: His face was red when he was on the forklift usually associated with drunkness and his eyes were closing and opening like he was trying to stay awake.

There were 2 things about that, one sure, the guy being rather unsafe with a forklift like that.. not a forklifter ftr, lol. However, massive safety violations of just that bloody acid tank alone. Out in the open. NO Labels whatsoever. You never would've known that was acid at all. Both Labels, and Proper Storage. All could have been prevented too

Who would store the acid in the same room as aluminium shavings if it causes an explosion? I feel like health and safety officials would have a field day there. There was no equipment or water to help people if there was a spillage, there were no oxygen masks to prevent you breathing in the fumes. Good job casey was there because i feel like the other peoples' knowledge of the acid wasnt even basic. Also, im assuming the girl is supposed to be a child so having a child working with dangerous chemicals is a hazard

so a firefighter saw a liquid spill that was burning the ground, suffocated a dude and burned another one in a few seconds and he was there for like almost a minutes wondering what was happening. I get it, it wasnt supposed to be there...but hes been a firefighter for years.
