Just hopefully this logic of "25 should be more" doesn't miss the mark like it seems to have with 10m loot this phase. Clearing since lockout 1 and literally increased my gear lvl by 1. Something feels off.

@Scottejay If it procs on the dot cast, it does the entire dot's damage not just a tick. it doesn't put a duplicate moonfire on the target but it puts up a wrath of taragosa ability that mimics the same damage of the dot ticks. so if your moonfire ticks 17 times, wrath of taragosa will tick 17 times not just 1 dot tick. It also has crit chances on the staff's duplicated dot. This is all info that has been tested in the original cata in 2011 with the data of the test results posted in WoWhead. However with it duplicating the dot, multiple dot replications happening during that time frame on the same target just replaces the staff's duplicated dot. So you miss out on damage, unlike boomy ICC 4 piece where it would just ramp up the damge higher and higher until all the correct damage was put out through ticks. or for example it duplicating a moonfire, and then duplicating an insect swarm. the ability of the duplicated spell is called wrath of taragosa, so moonfire duplication would just replace the insect swarm replication, you don't get both dots duplicated at the same time. It does have increased benefits for boomy on multi dot fights however because you can have the staff dot replication up on multiple targets. Generally speaking it will see the most benefit on mage, then following mage probably boomy then lock/priest being relatively close in benefit. You could see arcane mage possibly getting the most benefit from it, I just don't think it brings it up to par with fire with all the fire mage buffs that went out in 4.2.

Firelands will be farmed during Dragon Soul not just for the staff but also for BiS caster neck and agi cloak. So filling side raids to farm more staffs won't be hard between people gearing alts, people still needing the other BiS items and people wanting to work on their staff

25 man raiders are being cringe over the loot and legendary drop rates. the reward of doing 25 man over 10 man should be getting to play with 24 dudes instead of 9. full stop. Youve already admitted 25s have it easier with total comp freedom. BGs are of all different sizes and reward gear at the same rate. why is "all the 25 mans going and running 10 mans" so bad? if people want to do that let them...
