I used to see this sort of thing a lot when I worked around the corner. Very officiant and before you know it it's like nothings happened. I do remember getting stopped by undercover police on my way to work. they'd had a package thrown over the wall and thought I did it!

I was delivering a parcel to Strangeways once when a convoy like this came, hanging out the back of my van looking for a box and the next thing i know theres police cars everywhere and 2 armed officers walking towards me. Could've filled up the van with the amount of shit residing in my trousers

Reminds me of the hilarious farcical story that one of the teachers at my old school told about the trial of the Great Train Robbers down the road from school back in the mid 60s. At that time the school canteen was across the road, so it was the job of the teacher on duty to shepherd all the boys safely. One day the duty teacher saw several police cars with blue lights and bells, so he let them go by. Behind them was a nondescript van. "He can wait" he thought so he signalled the boys to start crossing. But that van was the Black Maria that was taking the prisoners from Aylesbury Jail to the court in the Council Chamber... Just as the last boy crossed, the police escort was on its way back, having realised that they had list their van, and they crossed each other, with all the boys cheering. The van driver must have thought he had taken a wrong turning so he turned round, to meet the police cars on their way back. By now everyone was looking out of their windows. The teacher who told this story, at his leaving do, said the culprit was still a teacher there, some 20 years later, so we looked to see who else in assembly looked embarrassed, but we never worked out who it was.

Good post. the convoy reaching its objective, high power vehicles as the forward security element using bounding over-watch, then creating a hasty perimeter of vehicles and dismounted SMGs around the entrance to the dismount point. Presumably there is also armed over-watch from the facility? peace

Where i live we had a big police escort bring a high risk prisoner we had 6 police motorcycles come into the town blocking all entrances to the town then 4 unmarked police cars 2 black unmarked vans then the prisoner carrier then another 4 police cars behind at first i thought it was a royal visit but it was a high security prisoner
