Treasure hunters Max Donnigan (Chuck Norris) and Leo Porter (Louis Gossett, Jr.) take on all comers inside a Central American Bar.
Well, Max does...singlehandedly.
And he trashes most of the bar while doing so.
Trivia: Firewalker was the first comedic role for Chuck Norris, giving him a chance to poke fun at his action persona.

I love these 80s action movies. Real fight scenes, realtime filmed suckerpunches. With sound effects. Just great. Also love the humor blended in. They rarely make 'm like these anymore

The Norris machine is so cool, stops to have a sip of beer. Timeless. Must have been a cloudy day, Chuck didn't have to wear a hat to protect the sun from his eyes. Chuck Norris for president.

Best movie ever for kids! The water bottle scene stuck with me for over 3 decades!!! Norris is narly. Take that Siskel and Ebert, who didn't understand kids' movies AT ALL! However, as a 80's kid, this grown up loves and enjoys this as any kid in 86! Rad Norris and bodacious 80's forever!

I worked for a guy once. Little Korean guy, had been a ROK marine. Taught Tai Kwan Doe to the other Rok Marines. Toughest guy I ever knew. He said if the guy was big enough, like the big Mexican in this movie, fighting skills didn't help much. But what the heck, this is entertainment.

I get what your Korean acquaintance was saying, and I agree with him with one exception, and it's what you see here: the chokeout. That's the great equalizer in a hand to hand fight. Basically, it doesn't matter how big (or small) your opponent is---assuming you're only fighting one, of course---if he can't breathe, he can't fight you. The whole goal of Gracie Jiu Jitsu is to get to your opponent's windpipe one way or another, and choke him until he passes out. Simple and direct approach to fighting.

I passed Chuck in an On The Border in Addison Texas a few years ago and said 'hey Chuck' he just looked at me and nodded his head and kept walking, 'like we had known each other for years'. That was cool! Terrible actor, but a cool guy. 🤔🤨👍

+ John T Well-built tables cost a lot, and they'll most likely get broken anyway. If you own a bar where a lot of fights break out, it's best to buy weak tables which are far cheaper to regularly replace.

i love this movie...i honestly think its a great action comedy. but its special to me in another way to...this was the last movie i ever watched with my grandpa before he passed. good memories...
