Hi Buckin, and everyone. I'm from Grand Rapids, MI. I love watching your videos, because you are such an encouragement to me. Your videos remind me of my childhood, when I'd go to the woods with my father, grandfather, and uncles, and cut wood to heat my grandparents home over the winter. Thanks for conjuring up good memories!

62 and two back surgeries later I can appreciate your humility in using the axe crutch. I do that now with virtually everything. Life goes on.

Buckin. Love seeing the splitting wind up with the leg lift, reminds of how my dad would split with an axe. Grew up in the Adirondack mountains of New York been running a power saw since I was 12 and split wood with an axe long before that. Thanks for giving your time to us, brings back some nice memories.

Your firewood looks great. Cleaning up oak tops last few days here (Northern PA). At 59, I give my back a break by working on one knee when I can too. Good kneepads help :) Buckin', been meaning to say for awhile- I first checked out your channel to learn how to handfile (I'd used a clamp-on guide for many years). Stuck around ever since because you my friend are as encouraging and inspiring as they come. Great to see the channel growing so quickly. Thanks for all you do brother!

Back on the wood - I never get tired of watching this. The business of having to continuously bend over to pick up the wood is a real chore, there must be a way of making this easier. I also lean on the axe when doing this. The only reason why I use the tire and chop block method is it makes it easier for me to get all the wood into the wheelbarrow in one go to move it the stacking area.

You do the kind of things I do or would want to do. I'm from Pennsylvania. For reference I live about 3hrs East of the Mogans (outdoorswiththemorgans). I bought a 1725 massey fergason to push the wood around. I also bring the logs home with it. I move the logs to the splitter and the wood shed. Scoop the junk and burn it. I do save a bit of the junk to start fires with. I'm burning bark and chips right now at the burn pile as I watch this video. Lol. We are in the same mode buckin. Feels good to get ready for winter. Lots of people miss this opportunity and I feel bad they miss this.

Makes perfect sense Buck'in, utilize every move, from cutting timber by placing your gas/oil jug towards the direction you figure you will need to fill your saw from, as well as your rigg;in pack and nose bag. Anticipating the area you will need them next and placing them in that direction saves a lot of energy and time. Take Care! Buddy

What’s up love the videos I was a tree climber for a company that worked for a power company clearing under and around lines...love climbing but not able to do it anymore. I’m only 32 but I’ve been through cancer twice in my head and neck and hip...I tried to go back and just couldn’t do it..miss it everyday I enjoy seeing how much fun you and your boy have...I’m new here and sending much love from Eastern Kentucky my friend.

What up Buckin. I’ve seen some of your videos in the past but just subscribed today. Can’t get enough of the channel. Your content is golden. I’m just a lowly country boy from eastern Ohio that enjoys runnin saws for chainsaw milling and firewood cuttin. Stay golden Buckin. Keep up the awesome work.
