Wreckfest will always be my benchmark for arcade game handling. It felt good with control and wheel, slides were the right kind of “natural” while not being a slave to pure realism

Good handling in a racing game - mission impossible.

- Not stable 60fps - sometimes drop below 40fps - must be "always online" - multi-player races error /disconnects - no traction control switch during race/free roam - handling (Forza did it better) - cockpit view and steering angle is a joke... (making steering wheel animations like Driver San Francisco is really that hard?) + cool music + interesting map (not like fh4/fh5) + cars sounds great (not like in fh5)

Not even considering getting this game until they optimize and add an offline mode. Even some of the settings menu are bugged out, that their target players would definitely try changing some time in their playthrough. Why the heck do they think getting rid of properties is a good thing? It's a core feature and appeal for the TDU series.

Clearly not a Upgrade from Test Drive Unlimited 2 it's like Gaming Industry is Obsessed with Online Only

Honestly, they should post-pone the launch to next year. It will be just like Cyberpunk all over again. Big hype, big downfall. Also, they should drop the "Unlimited" from the title. Test Drive Solar Crown (TDSC) sounds much better.

I wanted to highlight one point from the last video as I've seen multiple people complaining about the unrealistic prices given: 1 Hongkong-Dollar (HKD) equals to 0,12€/ 0,13$. Given the example of your last video regarding the Taycan: 1.5 mio HKD equals to around 179.000 € (The Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S costs 211.000€ new in Germany) -> Therefore the prices are "reasonable/ realistic"

Man, I just want this handling model with these visuals in single player and half decent performance and no crashing. That's it. If they stated right now that an offline is getting added and I can expect 60 on high on a 2070S, I would pony up for the gold edition, just to support something else for once. I'm not spending release price type money on a live service, ever.

Forza Horizon really has set the golden standard in graphics and physics. Anything else feels like garbage.

I feel like the roads are too flat and the cars suspension doesn’t react to taking left or right turns. The car stays completely flat and they don’t have any body roll they just look like they are stuck to the street.

Kuru is speaking facts, its a fun game even though its quite broken still. I hope that it can all be tweaked and fixed before release, or even delayed.

I really like this game, it feels just like tdu2, handling like everyone is saying needs work for sure, the physics need tweaking but overall it's just fun to learn the new mechanics, i enjoy driving slow or at realistic speed thru corners (not going 300 kmh thru a tight corner like in fh5) or just cruise around in the city looking at the beauty of the map, it encourages you to explore the map more and they reward you with useful stuff like currency or wreck finds. Remember TDU2 was not a purely racing game at all, just like this one, there's much more to it other than racing, also if im not mistaken the driving model in tdu2 was just as controversial but people adapted and learned to enjoy it. I think people are used to being handed everything in a silver plater and don't want to adapt, they wan't every new game to feel like forza because that's what they're used to and that is not only unrealistic but also harmful for the future of the genre.

I will say being able to spec out the 2016 Mustang exactly how I did the 2005 Mustang in TDU1 during my childhood, black with red interior, was nostalgic as fuck, however the game needs a lot of work, not sure if it'll surpass the first 2 games, but I don't think it's as bad as some are saying as long as the issues are fixed before launch, which doesn't seem likely in 3 months, online only is a huge bummer though

Bro I made a super cool livery for the mustang "Crowd silencer" with a girl making the "sush" hand sign in front of her mouth, and on the other side a car, with smoking tyres, running over 3 people 🤣🤣Also on the bumper it says "NO BRAKES". That's the most fun I had in this game so far.

My first impressions were that I really like the MAP. Atmosphere and working gasstations with gates that really opens for you like real cargame should be. Map is just great and I wish next Forza could do something similar. Handling is mid not as bad as in TDU2 and actually on wheel it seems to be better cause there is no countersteer limiter. I met few players and I have no issuse with network. Optimalization is horrible I hope they can fix it. I think we gonna really miss car customization in this game even its never been in TDU before.

You're far too kind to this game. This is 6 months of pre-purchased assets cobbled together with an online component to milk microtransactions coasting on the former glory of a lost franchise. You need a beefcake setup to brute-force this duct-taped-together, player-base fleecing, grift of a game. It's such a pity, as there is so much love for this franchise. Go in with opened-eyes, guys. This is not the game you were hoping for.

It looks super barebone and lifeless , also whats up with the bad handling in a RACING GAME its like the base of it all , big letdown from test drive i was really hoping for an upgrade over tdu2 but it seems to go backward

I dont know if anyone else has had the issue but along with the common stuff like the fps and such, there's 1 NPC per race that's astonishingly over powered and will finish the race 25-35 seconds ahead. I've managed to only get first place a few times and settled for second in most because of it

Maybe TDU SC should give your car an unpredictable spin that loses you time and encourage clean driving by punishing hitting props. Also I would increase friction when wallriding and when you crash hard the engine would turn off forcing you to scramble to turn it back on to continue #somanyideas 15:00 Ive seen people stream with mid settings because they just couldnt play on Ultra like you did. And the first thing that suffers is texture quality which really drags the quality down here and makes it look like an old game or mobile game.

The graphics feel so strange to me, it doesnt look bad from a technical standpoit but feels like a f2p from 2018 or something. It does not feel nearly as well rounded as FH5

The always online thing is just annoying. I played for hours, never saw another human in a race, yet I can’t restart, I am forced to either quit the race or finish it, even though it’s clear you will just stay last, an then you have to wait a minute before every race, just for no one to join. I just want a toggle so I can play solo, like I always do, since none of my friends play racing games… I really want to like it, but they just won’t let me

I have a 2080 super and i have to use 2k low or 1080p meduim to get a near 60fps and thats not even a stable one. I Don't want to imagine how it is for the mass majority of gamers as most people use 2060's, 1060's, 1080's etc

I will say, the handling is weird, but if I take out TCS it fees much better for me.

On my end the game ran stable (low/mid settings) but i can 100% understand the critics and i hope they ditch Allways on. And i quite like the handling, it is miles better than anything Ghost Games ever made

I dont care if the handeling is not perfect. Its still 10 times better than the nonsense we have in NFS games. Frame Generation works fine for me at least. Stable 140+ fps with everything on ultra. The one thing i dont like is the online aspect. They know the game is not perfect thats why the price is not 70+$. For that price the game looks great IMO.

I'm very conflicted with this game. Yeah, it was fun when I played it and could see myself playing this in the long-run. Hell I got a good 10 hours on it at least just by cruising around. There are problems with the game that I'm concerned with where I don't think I want to buy on launch.

I personally rather grippy realistic car physics. I hate the fact that drifting around corners doesn’t slow u down in arcade racers. I want gran turismo physics in an open world racer

The handling model is clearly based on the previous WRC games which is not ideal all the time.

Apart from the sliding on Controller, the Physics in TDUSC feel incredibly believable.

i don't know how they fucked the cutscenes so bad in this game, tdu and tdu2 had way better dialogues and cutscenes, the character models looks like something straight from the free assets available for unity; it is almost an insult to the franchise holy shit. And don't forget about the shitty optimization, the games looks worse then horizon 5 and runs as if I got ray tracing set on ultra. it is honestly a shame as I enjoy cruising in the game and handling seems solid on keyboard at least.

Honestly it's not looking that bad. I think the handling model is an improvement over TDU2, however the map.. The map is sooo small. How could they make it THIS small? TDU was always about long cruises from one side of the island to the other with friends, and this map is so small. Idk why they made this this way. Bigger and less detailed map would be much better

I had so much fun that I pulled a 2:33:08 on "Strictly Business". Then I got tired of its flaws and uninstalled. Ima keep it real here, 3 months won't cut the performance issues and wonky physics. The suspension feels like its trying to kill me, try and put an offroad suspsension on the Mercedes G65, lol and that is just one example. The TT RS is busted with its AWD drivetrain and yet you won't notice a lot of incoming spin outs, 20% of them end up with out kissing the wall and shifting each gear down until you get through FKIN NEUTRAL and reach reverse, terrible. AI going rocket mode on straight but sucking in corners while ramming you like you do not exist, they also don't dodge traffic. Traffic also being weird af, they either predict you or ignore and ram you. Get these Forza devs out. *applying tinfoil hat to braincase* DEI / SBI cast, this adds only fuel to the fire when the game is bad, make the game good and this won't be an issue whatsoever, because people will think that the game was held back for diversity choices that had to be put in, location doesn't matter either. Radial menu not letting you switch radio in races that have like 2 songs, I had to go and turn all music except menu off. Menu is a mess, I had to go and look for shit like assists and radio like a mad man because it all looks so "hidden" for a lack of a better word. Did I mention the suspension trying to kill you? Yes? Good, now I did it again. It also loves to do that on braking, makes it feel inconsistent and corners become a gamble. Binge eating low fences and a lot of other things is basically fine but 1 lamppost and you shift a trail setup TT RS down 1 - 2 gears if not 3. EDIT: Always online, it is so obvious, I forgot to mention it. TL;DR Inconsistent and wonky game that could be SOOOOO GOOD man... the absolute classic in racing games ._.

This game isn't a day one by for me but I do like what I've played so far on the demo but quite a few things needs to be improved in my opinion but otherwise it's a mid game for me.

I'm sorry you had to endure the crew 2 part 2 with all the account creating and data sharing and all the potato physics. We are truly doomed. When ps6 generation comes around we'll have to pay a weekly fee just for the ability to grind the battle pass and every game is a live service triple A experience

Hate the economy in this game. I don't like getting things thrown at me, but being told I have to grind 200 hours for one car, I'll just play a different game. Also the handling, is just terrible for rwd vehicles. It's just so off putting and terrible. No houses is a bad move, I don't want to hear "they're gonna add it" don't care, release a finished game, delay it if necessary

Well a game can look good but be horrible and well this game is the next 76/cyberpunk/motorsport it might be good a few years down the road of hard core work and determination but i find this more of a cash grab sadly to get in on the abandoned test drive name after ivory tower has carved out its own place in the world of racing games its just one of those i have a bad vibe about this games future and it never being fixed

Because I played the old ones, and after 10 years they stuck doing the same game over and over The crew did something new now but still has no personallity at all, even had to get into the TDU clout to get some recognition because people angry because of The Crew 1 got down And The Crew 2.. its just average at MOST And FH already speak for itself, same game since FH2 just different map and better graphics here and there, but gameplay always the same, let see if the new one actually does anything new But something they almost all lack, its personallity And TDU SC at least have enough of that, they care about driving, and some social aspects, obviously have its flaws like everything else, but at least its something new, fresh, or would you still playing the exact same game for 10 years just changing map and addind some cars? I wouldnt and I know most of you if considerate it like that, would choose something new aswell
