Brings back a rush of memories. We used to travel up north during Diwali & summer vacations. Have travelled innumerable times in all, Golden Temple/Frontier, Jammu Tawi/Deluxe, AK Rajdhani & Rajdhani. Experienced all classes, from sleeper, AC chaircar to 2AC..reflecting the change in times and company from family to friends. The experience has always been impeccable. I consider the 2 Rajdhanis serving Mumbai-Delhi and the GT/Frontier as perhaps the only long distance trains with near 100% on dot arrivals...consistently. And the staff has always been so helpful. Once I remember the Rajdhani was stuck enroute to Mumbai during the Godhra related riots. The pantry staff fed every passenger freshly cooked rice, khichdi and whatever they could make from the pantry stock. They even took the trouble to buy milk & rice from the village folks near the tracks..especially to feed the children on-board. Just hats off to the great Indian unifier..Bharatiya Railways.

Wow ,50 yrs completion of Rajdhani Delhi to Bombay, I completed my post graduation in 1972 and started my service traing as Engineering Supervisor in Deptt of post and Telegraphs ( now it is Deptt. of Telecom ,separating Department of Post ) at Telecom training centre JABALPUR. I travelled from Punvaya[ Distt Shahjahanpur u. p.] to Shahjahanpur by bus then to Lucknow by a train and then by another train from Lucknow to Jabalpur via Allahabad, Satna Katni jn This last journey was too painful in summer ,willbe unforgettable in my life , But it was starting point of my life to earn my bread and butter. Thanks to vloger showing Journey in Tejas , now I completed 72 yrs of my life.

Nostalgia!! I travelled, with my parents, in 'Bombay Rajdhani' in 1978!! I remembered "Teesri Manzil" songs played on the 'piped music system', A five bogey ( with the generator car) we travelled in the 'Chair Car'!! Do you know, that in those five coaches, there was a 'Library', books for kids!!! That too two racks full of books dedicated for kids!! Where are these facilities in Tejas Rajdhani? Used to leave N. Delhi Railway station@ 4.30 p.m., & used to reach Mumbai Central( Bombay Central) at 10.30 a.m. sharp!! How much time it takes after 40 yrs later?

Very nice and impressive interior design of the Bombay New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express. Another achievement by the railways is full electrification from Bombay to New Delhi upto 1384 km. 👍👍👍. Another technological development is full automatic doors with sensor once the train starts which ensures full safety.

Tejas livery is fine...but jab main bachcha thaa...( Most people here won't have been born then) ...tab Rajdhani used to have orange yellow livery... 😍😍...it was pure love....nothing can match it...I really pray that Railways brings back that livery....

Never imagined someday we will see someone celebrating 50 years of Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express Run .Then you had 2 more important trains , the Frontier Mail ( Now Golden Temple Mail) and The Jammu Tawi Swaraj , connecting the Island City to Northern Indian borders small Trivia here Earlier the Frontier Mail (Now Golden Temple Mail ) This train ran as the Frontier Mail between 1928 and 1996, ferrying passengers arriving by Steamer from Europe directly from Ballard Pier in Bombay to the city of Peshawar on India's North-West Frontier before the Partition of India.

अभी हाल ही में मुझे उस तेजस ट्रेन में मुंबई तक सफर करने का मौका मिला। इस ट्रेन के डिब्बे और सीट पुरानी राजधानी के मुकबले छोटे ह, उपर की बर्थ पर तो आप सो ही नहीं सकते, सिर सीधा छत से लगता है, बहुत ही बेकार ट्रेन ह, पहले वाले पुराने डिब्बे ही अच्छे थे सिर्फ चमक धमक के अलावा कुछ नहीं

the rakes are exchanged between Mum Del Rajdhani and August Kranti Rajdhani to even out the wear and tear on the coaches. Mum Del Rajdhani has more speed and less stops while Aug Kranti has lesser speed and more stops. even Deccan express (CST-Pune) and madgoan express (CST - Madgaon, goa) exchange rakes so that both rakes are evenly used. one rake goes to pune and comes back to CST in same day, other rake goes to goa and back in that day, next day, the pune rake gets sent to goa while goa rake goes to pune .this prevents one rake from being overused while other remains under utilised. i think many trains have this type of rake sharing
