I have just bought an old 2003 van, I find your channel very relevant, although I don’t have a tv, air con or much electronics. I have camped most of my life and your experiences are very helpful. I found your channel from ‘Caravantastic’ wishing you lots of fun in your van 😃

When we were at Troutbeck Head last year we persuaded a member of staff to let us have a nosy in the pods, they are pretty nice! Enjoy your first trip away, very envious!

Hi Dan, what a lovely caravan and a lovely video. Whatever makes you think that people dont like being behind caravans 😂😂😮. We actually think it is getting worse, frightening infact at times. Sign of the times sadly 😢 Although our caravan has an amazing mattress. The one at home was horrendous. So we bought a silentnight topper, absolutely amazing. Hopefully you will sort it out. Thanks for this video, definitely putting Moreton in Marsh on the list for a visit soon, we’re not as brave as you going this time of year. We’re in Somerset so not too far for us. I’ll have to have all my willpower geared up to avoid that Lardy cake, I love it but not enough Sins on a slimming world calculator for that! Hope the bed is comfy Angela, I share your back woes.

If anyone is considering the yurts or safari tents at Morton bear in mind there are no toilets and you have to walk to the toilet block which is a trek! The glamping pods are also tiny. Both are properly expensive for what they are.

Having just visited the Scottish Caravan & Motorhome Show at the SECC and poked around both the Phoenix GT75 640 and the Alicanto Grande Evora, I can completely see the appeal of the change. The Evora layout is so spacious and airy. As an aside, of all the caravans we looked at, I'm sorry to say the Baileys were the ones exhibiting far and away the largest number of build quality issues, a common theme being detaching furniture and ill-fitting doors. The swing door on the 640 bathroom was so badly out of true that it actually would not close, and another one of the vans was exactly the same 😮I appreciate, as you've said before, that show vans are subject to a significant amount of abuse - but that's the same for all makes; and while it might be forgivable by the time October's NEC swings round, this is just the start of the show season! I hope your new baby doesn't suffer too many of these...

Nice one Dan - as you know we live not far from there, and when I moved up to the area in 1998, I was renting the top floor of a lodge house ( Bedlam Lodge) on the A3400 outside Long Compton - I did my food shopping in Moreton in Marsh. In the F1 season, there was always a Ferrari flag and an Italian flag hanging out of an upstairs window in a house on the left as you head out of the town towards Shipston on Stour. Hi Dan You can buy a very inexpensive self bleeding radiator valve called Aladdin Autovent which automatically bleeds air in the radiator to keep the top hot....we use one in our house bathroom rad and when they fail they stay sealed so don't leak. The glycol antifreeze if yours is the same as our Alde wet system is (VW) G13 so you could buy it from car dealers , Eurocarparts etc. You could also put a few drops of your favourite smelling essential oil on your caravan radiators / radiator pipes to fill the caravan with whatever smell you like...also works on your cars pollen filter to keep your car smelling nice. How is the bed after 3 days? I see from your video we are not the only ones to play Uno , visit Antique shops , Cheese shops and the like.

Witches Hat Dan, I once slipped off the seat and it hit me square in the bottom of my back, it hit me that hard I could barely walk. Massive bruising, not been on one since. Thankfully no long term damage.

Only been to M-in-M twice ..... once by a toilet block on grass (we requested it) & another time on the left side of the site, the pitch was tiny, so tiny that the car had to go across the front rather than the usual car/caravan/awning. The town is lovely though, especially as it's a short stroll away.

We take pre-prep dinners too. Shepherds pie is very good as well in a foil container. One suggestion. Line your tray with cheap tin foil so if your food spills over just throw it away rather than wash it.

When you come to Brecon I recommend Hills Restaurant, The Gurkha Corner and The International Welsh Rarebit Centre For travels Elan Valley, Llyn Brianne, Llangorse lake, Brecon Mountain railway, Talybont reservoir, Brecon canal, Craig-Y-Nos, Llangynidr mountain viewing point on the "Top Gear road".

Great to hear you got away with the new van. Poor PDI from the dealership, even though it was “second hand”; hopefully they will refund you the cost of the Alde fluid and something for your fuel too. As for Angela having “princess and the pea” issues with the bed; my wife and I have the same Duvalay mattress in our Challenger 650 - and my wife also has back and hip problems, but we found a fitted 2” memory foam mattress topper helped with these issues. You know you are getting older when looking around an antique dealer and another customer asks how much YOU cost!

Great vlog Dan. I hope your cushion bases are better than ours in our S5 They have been replaced once, soft once again. Bailey blame Bellfield & Bellfield blame Bailey as they supply what Bailey tell them too. The customer pays a fortune for a luxury caravan and suffers. Not happy at all!. Our Bellfield bed mattresses are like paper. Currently we have lost 3 months use of our caravan because Bellfield has to inspect them before issuing replacements & this has now happened twice. Would I buy another " luxury" Bailey, no chance. PS we have been waiting over a year for replacement blinds for the infinity window & the wait goes on, it's a disgrace, sad time Andy 😭😭

1st March will be our first outing. Bolton by Bowland! Just 3 nights to get it ready for the rest of the year....

Hi Dan & Angela, glad to see you enjoying the new van> How do you find the extra width, both for towing and living in? We couldn't believe how much more room there is in the 8 foot width, and no bother witht he towing. I agree with you about the pods etc. Last year one of our ons was 40, so we arranged a weekend near Garstang, he had his huge tent for him, his wife and grandaughters, another had a shepherd's hut and the third a pod. It was great, we were lucky with the weather, and it was great to seethe kids playing and running around. I know what you mean about the 'race to overtake a caravan' contest!!

We have the same sleeping issues with my wife Katie, we have a motorhome and purchesed a mattress topper from “Custom made Mattresses” It’s not cheep but has made a hell of a difference. With you on the bottle of red added that sit to go to as it’s only 1 hour or so from us Gary & Katie 👍🏻

Hi Dan, great videos. Once the Alde heating was sorted how did you find it compared to blown air in previous caravans? How did you find the towing & extra width experience?

Very bright on the eyes, did you change your colour space output or tag it to use a different colour space, 709 is the best one as thats what most people view them in. Love the van. I watched your video a while back about how the kids grow older and then dont want to come away any more....and yes like many you upsize when you would think its better to down size the vn lol.

Only drawback to a twin axle servicing is dearer and when it needs tyres you got 4 to buy instead of 2 not everybody can afford brand new vans

Did you not have a PDI on your caravan when you purchased it ? Only I think I would be right on to the dealer obviously they fell short not making sure your fluid was not full
