Congrats on getting it going. There is a battery pack that you can install to keep the dash from rebooting every time you hit the starter that goes inline between the display and the Dominator.

and what you can also consider doing is down on the oil pan where that little diverter goes right above the filter, find one of the ones that you can drill and tap for 1/8 NPT, then get a 100 psi fuel pressure gauge ( roughly about 1 1/4" in size, and thread that into that piece. You can always look right at it and see the oil pressure while outside the car.

I found that you can use blue dykem on the splined shaft. Once dry you can see where it wears off when you try and slide on the converter.. That's the spot you need to work on for interference. It says a ton of time.

A simple mechanical gauge plumbed into the oil gallery would relieve you of the suspense that the Holley provides. Lol

You guys are so lucky with induvial coils, no water cross overs in the intake, fuel injection, lap tops to do tune ups that change as you add rpm's.... makes me feel like I'm in the stone age with forth Gen Chevy big blocks with carburetors single coil and distributer. Hi tech for me is MSD boxes, magnetic pick up distributers and brand new (not used and rebuilt by me) Edelbrock AVS 800 carbs. Glad you all got Mom up and running!!

I would love for you to make a video(s) on your thoughts when it comes to engine sizes, power and rpm ranges. Pushing of 388 to nearly 2000 hp. A lot of calculations and engine components. Also, what made you choose that engine size versus maybe going with the 408 that’s also built for boost. I’m a bit of an oddball when it comes to engine sizes. Everybody builds 427, 540, 572 and 632s. So to see someone build a 388 excites me more. I hope to someday build a 502 or bigger big block Chevy, but with a 3.77 stroke and 4.600 bore.

Regular mechanics call me insane for running an engine for a minute or so that I replaced with a reman/new, or put new head gaskets on. It ain't gonna hurt it, and helps with break in, on the head gaskets and such!

Figured this is a good a place as any to mention that Holley really should update either the product or the instructions on how to get the dashes to load quicker, even if only so you can see initial diagnostics before “refreshing”. Every unit I’ve seen has this delay and it always adds to my anxiety. 😬

So glad to be able to watch KSR again. Ian was the problem, repairs, internet was almost non existence. Have new fiber optic and so far so good. I have a lot of catching up to do. Always a good time watching you n the guys at the shop. Go Soccer Mom.

Based on the engine specs the redline should be somewhere around moon :D The old one turned like 8300 if I recall correctly so I expect this will go even higher.

Great job guys KSR team for the win this year. The dash power cycle thing is like kind of stupid in my opinion. its like not having a dash right when you need one. Holley needs to fix this.
