A great day in a good season. I met David Smith at a former players talk this season. He was far more humble and unassuming than other players who didn't put in half the good performances he put in. He was excellent and doesn't get the credit he should.

I'm not a Cov fan so hadn't really heard of David Smith. In this clip looked as good as say Paul Simpson of Manchester City.

Strange the way the old West End really died off during this period. Surged back when Quinney/Nuddy got going about 3 years after this period but strangely subdued atmosphere considering we were mid table.
