Kumbhalgarh Fort is the second most important fort of Rajasthan after Chittorgarh. Located at a distance of 80 kms from Udaipur in Rajasmand district
This fortress is secured under the kind protection of the Aravali ranges. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built by Maharana Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The fort derived its name from the same factor.

Proud about Indian Kings once again, Rana Kumba built World's second largest Wall and Beautiful Fort to protect his people. His Son Legendary Maha Rana Pratap saved his dignity for India. I love this fort like anything, I use this image for my presentation from 2017 to make our people realize about our Kings and their Kingdoms. Homages from Tamil Nadu to our brothers in India. We have to preserve all our Monuments. Before my life end, I would like to visit this Legendary place.

Also Maharana Pratap was grandson of Rana Kumbha. Maharana Pratap's father Udai singh founded the city of Udaipur and he was rescused by Davmata Panna dhai from chittorgarh fort and tok refugee in Kumbhalgarh. In order to save the heir to Mewar kingdom (Rana Udai singh) Devmata Panna Dhai sacrificed her own son and escaped with Udai singh. Very fascinating history. Also Kumbhalgarh fort was never won by Mughals.

I love this stuff. If I had the money to travel, I'd almost exclusively visit castles, forts, and cities with impressive fortifications. This place is definitely on my list.
