Thanks for the reaction! Jackson Wang songs are primarily in English and caters to a global audience. He has some that are a mix of mandarin and English (he is Chinese) but you can mostly understand the feels of the song + hey subtitles :) He's not just another idol. Man is building an empire with his own company team Wang (please check out the KZfaq channel too). Also a great dancer!! His singles are awesome this year - leave me loving you and drive you home (not a cover). Songs from his first album mirrors - 100 ways, bullet to the heart, titanic, Dawn of us are awesome too. He speaks fluent English and is also fluent in 5 other languages (studied in an American school hence the fluency). You should definitely get to know more of his work!

Jackson is a very talented artist and turned down a scholarship to Stanford University for fencing to go to Korea in order to pursue his music career. And he is fluent in 5 languages

Jackson went an international school in China, so he's multi-lingual. Yes it reminded me of the Cars song written an sung by the drummer,( great band), so I recognized the melody & concept. Jackson owns this, it's not a cover.

Got7 and BTS are my ult groups so this is my wheel house. Yes Jackson and RM are best friends but so are Yugyeom and Jungkook. The 2 groups are pretty close in general there are tons of compilation videos of them interacting on KZfaq. They also did a live stage together once. As for Jackson he started Team Wang a couple years ago because he didn't have the creative freedom he wanted as a member of got7 under jyp. Most of the solo music he does is in English although he has some wonderful Chinese songs as well. Almost everything he did with got7 was in Korean however. Also it's important to note that he is part of the rap line in got7, not a vocalist. He is Chinese born and raised in Hong Kong but he went to an international school run by English speaking teachers which is why he is fluent in English but also Mandarin and Cantonese. He learned Korean after he got into JYP and moved to Korea. He says he doesn't really have a primary language anymore and isn't perfect at any of them but able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean. Also got7 did leave jyp this year because the company just wasn't managing or promoting them like they should. All of the members have joined different companies and are doing solo activities now but they are still got7 and do plan on releasing more music together eventually. Their leader Jayb spent a lot of time and effort researching copyright law to make sure they maintained the right to their group name and can continue making music together.

My favorite Jackson Wang song is pretty please it's amazing. You should see the cute interactions between RM and Jackson 💜 He is a member of GOT7 but I think they disbanded this year when they left JYP entertainment because of mistreatment I guess. They were so cute and funny that I just had to discover more about them. That is how I discovered GOT 7 and became a fan. My all-time favorite MV is "100 Ways" by Jackson. This was interesting thanks. Love both your commentary on this as you came to realise and reflect on the story. I've never seen this or heard Jackson Wang on his own, he has a great voice. I have only seen /heard him in GOT7. I've only heard a few of their songs, but love You Calling My Name ( it has such a good anti drop in it) and RUN AWAY and If You Do are both good. 🙂

Oh oh, Jackson Wang now ? Jackson is a GOT7 member, the only one who could make some solos before they disbanded (doing them in Hongkong, as he is Chinese, escaping his JYP Korean contract), same age as Namjoon, were good friends. Funny guy. Superb artist. My reco : all the latest solos he did, you may start with « 100 ways » (maybe more your style, it hooked me directly !), « Pretty please », and « Don’t leave me loving you » (oh I love this one, maybe not your style, not sure, it got me…), he plays well with our emotions. I saw Got 7 MV´s for the first Time 4 weeks ago. I really liked the music straight away. Then i saw the Band split up. So i looked at the solo projects. Jackson Wang is just amazing. You should also check out the solo songs from the others. For example JB, BamBam, Mark Tuan
