Hey, Doc! Um, what's up with that thumbnail?! HDRYO??😆 Sorry, I had to!😁 Good job on that oil change, spill or not. It happens. When I was 19 or 20, I once did an oil change and after pouring all 6 qts of Castrol GTX into my engine, I noticed that I forgot to re-install the plug on the oil pan! Yeeeaah, needless to say, my father wasn't too happy about the Exxon Valdez spill in the driveway! Neither was I! Had to buy more oil!! Never made THAT mistake again! Thanks for the tutorial. Good video, Brother! Keep it REAL! TRUTH! Peace. Keep it CLEAN! God bless. Hi, Sarah!

I could only imagine what my Father would have done. I wouldn't be eating or sitting for a month of Sundays. At least oil wasn't 50 bucks a qt. back in 1922 Lol. Love ya buddy, God Bless

@@DOCREAL1118 Well, I was never really great at math, especially at 5:30 in the morning. But, seeing that a barrel of oil (42 gals.) was only around $1.37, a quart must have been pretty cheap!

I’ve run mowers over 1000 hrs without changing hydro fluid. Usually if there’s no leaks it’s good to go. But nothing wrong with taking care of equipment. Good job.

I am not sure I would go that long but I know I have gone 700 hrs on the Cheetah when I had it.

@@DOCREAL1118 yeah I think there’s a point where as long as its working you might as well just let it roll, or risk opening up a bigger can of worms. 🤣

#BadBoyMafia, Great instructional video Shane. Now that youre a professional BadBoyMafia MasterTech I'll have to work on getting you up here to change mine out at the end of the season? 😂😅 Maybe a long distance bike ride on that new purchase? Keep up the stellar work, much appreciated. Be safe, God Bless brother. Please tell Sarah hello for me.

Sure thing. On the scag you just drop the filter and fill up the tank, no need to take out any plugs. #whippasnippa

What oil is recommended for the hydro change from bad boy?
@DOCREAL1118Ай бұрын
I just used 20w 50 it doesn't matter what brand really.
@12valve1stgenАй бұрын
The hydro gear manual says SL rated oil however their own brand is SP now. I asked them what fluid they recommend for the transaxles as well as pumps like on a V ride and this is their response. "We recommend 20W50 standard engine oil. Any reputable brand (Pennzoil, Valvoline, Mobil etc) will work. Synthetic can be used but it really doesn’t provide much of a benefit over the conventional oil." I have run the Amsoil hydro 20w50 last season and it sounded and felt the same as the cheaper stuff and actually turned dirty faster. Currently running the Kawaski 20w50 in mine but may try Valvoline VR1 next time. I figure the extra zzdp could not hurt it and the price is not bad either.
