Hey everyone I hope you liked this video and I really hope it was helpful. We plan on actually implementing the curriculum very very soon and eventually I will do a full review of this.
I recently found out that there is an updated version of this book as well as an abridged easier to implement version. I do not have those so I can't fully recommend them however,
If you want to learn more about those materials check out this video from Our Wild Way :

This is the science curriculum we're planning on using. I love that it teaching how to actually think scientifically so that whatever they're interested in they can apply those principles instead of just having them memorize random facts.

Ivy Cable yes I agree! That is how I feel about random science experiments as well, like sure they are fun but most times I don’t think kids learn much from it. I am hoping to do the first lesson tomorrow, so hopefully I will have something to mention in my week 4 update tomorrow.

There are sequences available online from people who have used the book and reported the sequence in which they did the lessons. I've got one of those lined up (for like 3 years from now) so I don't have to worry about finding a lesson that we are able to do each week. You'll also have to stretch it to spending 2-3 weeks on one lesson (reading, discussing, experimenting, rehypothesising and reexperimenting) to make it last for the 3 years. I like that this pace will allow my kids to really run with the ideas without having to rush them through a lesson a week and honestly, when I line the topics up with our school curriculum here, this book covers up through grade 4, so I'm not concerned about taking it slow. I think someone on here did a video comparing this volume with a "companion" volume where someone reformatted it to be more user-friendly and less dry. I can't remember the channel though.

We have such similar homeschooling styles! I made a general sequence for the first 10 lessons or so....but I should have just searched for a sequence that someone already made. 😂 I spent a good couple hours on it. And yeah that makes sense, my plan as of right now, is to just do as much as we want and then when I feel like my daughter is ready to join us start from the beginning again. And yeah I saw hers! (I linked it in the description.) I didn’t even realize I had an older version until I saw hers. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ right now I think I am going to skip the “abridged version” but maybe I will get tired of reading so much. So who knows.

Hi I know this is an old video but I was curious to know if you are still using this curriculum? I would really appreciate your thoughts on it now! 😊

hello!! I’ve enjoyed watching several of your videos! How did this go, where you able to implement it? I’m really curious on how it went. I’ve been searching for a science curriculum, I keep coming back to this one. Thank you! :)
