HELLO THERE:
We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to KZfaq but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). On this channel, we ask you to join us on our travel adventures off the beaten track where we show you the beauty of untouched nature and wander into places most tourists don't dare to go.

This is truly the best trailer I've ever seen, every minute is captivating, you're a genius! I have heard before that Nepal is the last piece of pure land on earth, and the place closest to heaven! I am very much looking forward to the next videos, and wish both you happy travels, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

Heyhey! We just got back from 8 days of hiking in the Nepali mountains and well what you heard is 100% right 😍👌. The small villages hidden away between the 8000m giants are to die for, so pure and captivating! And well surely we will soon also share this journey. But also thank you so much for the amazingly supportive comment. Although we are both extremely tired from the hike, then your words really lifted our spirits 😊. Best wishes from the Himalayas!

Most of the folks from Terai are not Nepalese at all. They are Indians and shamelessly pose as Nepalese. I hope Nepal government deport them all and demands the returns of lost lands especially the entire Himalayan region which rightfully belongs to Nepal.

I could totally relate to the difference you felt between the India and Nepal border just 5km apart. Nikhil and Pragyan ,so cute, made me feel proud as a Nepali. And regarding the road conditions it's so TRUE- " risking the life of others in traffic is never okay".Loved this video, can't wait for the other ones. I love Nepal, even when l get to see the mountains of northern side , the architect and heritages of Kathmandu regularly, still get awed by them. But yes so many things in Nepal are " unreal just unreal" in both ways good and bad.

Swagat chha Nepalma. Welcome to Nepal. I'm so looking forward to your travels through one of my favourite countries in the world (actually probably my favourite). My first impression in your video was: "Wow, this could be some adventure, a European traveler driving his own vehicle in Nepal" ! Over 50 years ago I travelled by ship from New Zealand to England and then travelled through Europe and North Arica in a VW van. During those travelling times I think I learned more about different people, life and cultures than at any time in my life. I first visited the amazing country of Nepal in 1982 and have returned many times since then - my last time was a 3 month stay, 2 months ago - my 9th visit. And I have to say I enjoyed it just as much this time as the first time. I'm planning my 10th visit in September next year. The roads in Nepal....ah yes...the roads...well some roads can hardly be called roads; more of an obstacle course, made to test even the most devout Buddhist monk's patience and tolerance. Over the years I've just learned to accept them as part of the whole Nepali experience and despite the discomfort often (but not always) experienced, I still love traveling those roads. At the moment so many of the main roads are being widened and upgraded and because of Nepali politics (and corruption) this is a very slow process...however, with the intense monsoon weather during June July and August every year many newly built and recently repaired roads are washed away in landslides, so I fear this will be an on-going problem for the foreseeable future. The traffic...omg...the traffic!! Part of the reason the roads are in such a bad condition today is because of the huge increase in traffic, especially freight trucks coming from and going to India and then travelling all over Nepal and tourist buses over the last 10 to 20 years. And imho, a big part of the reason the actual driving etiquette is so bad is because the driving rules are not enforced (again because of corruption) so it becomes a free-for-all with many people totally disregarding all the rules of common sense as well as the traffic rules. There are new, wider, safer roads being built all over Nepal at the moment (- yes you've already experienced this "work in progress"), and also a new railway system that will connect India to Tibet via Kathmandu and will also connect the far east to the far west of Nepal. But as I am now over 70 years old, I don't expect to see this completed in my lifetime! Looking forward to your future Nepal vlogs. Enjoy your upcoming trek and further travels and above all enjoy the beautiful, friendly, patient and honest Nepali people and their amazing culture. Subha yatri - Happy travels. 🙏 😊

Ohh for sure, we hope that we will make it to Japan after all, there is still some problems with the Chinese visa, but in few weeks we should have the final answer 😊, it would be so amazing to actually make it there. How have you been yourself? I bet England is quite pretty in this time of the year 😁. @@WildVikingTravels There is no place like home and at the end of the day although it's exciting to travel off to far lands most of us get homesick and want to return back to our roots. Sometimes I want to sell up and leave but I know that eventually I would miss my own comforts and security. I think that it's great to travel and explore while your young but as we get older we like to settle down. The UK is wonderful at this time of year warm and blooming in colour, as your own country will be too. Unfortunately my health and mobility issues restrict me somewhat so I usually stay local but watching the world through you guys keeps me happy and informed. Thank you for posting your travels and sharing your experiences with all of us. x

Did you too connect via Muzaffarpur? - The sense of exhaling on getting over the border seems not to have changed (until you go back down later of course). -- Wonderful vids, you're great adventurers with a thoughtful spirit. Plus I get to see on film some of the places I got to go to back when I was your age and feel the joy and wonder all over again :)

Our corrupt government is so pathetic, they have no feelings and sympathy towards human's lives. They only care about pocket funding than building infrastructural work. You went through Bihar, which is where i live. This place is crazy even for Indians or for that matter even me, who has lived here all his life. It's sad but it is what it is. It's just different parts of India. I wish you had a local to explain how to navigate.

Hard to believe but most Indians are proud that the country is now the most populous on the planet despite the degradation of the environment in so many ways.
