These hair tools were sent to me by CWK Girls and I've been seeing them around Instagram for a few years now so I wanted to give them a try!
Items Included:
"The Perfect Combo" Tool Kit
12 Rubber Plates
24 Spiral Rods
36 Purple Plates
You can find these at: www.cwkgirls.com
I sat under my hooded dryer for about an hour and 30 minutes. The Rubber Plates were very comfortable and I could easily tuck them in my satin cap and sleep overnight, however, I do not think I could sleep in the spiral rods.
I only had Aussie Moist (not CG Friendly - I was out of my regular conditioner) in my hair.

I never realized I would have to explain the concept of LIGHTING and REFLECTORS to people, but I do understand we may have some children here. My hands are not "glowing". While I would love to claim to be descended from Glow Worms (bummer!), unfortunately... the glow that you're seeing is the result of sitting in front of STUDIO LIGHTING (a ring light + 2 box lights) while having an oil/serum on my hands. Hate to disappoint the trolls. Maybe I'll get a hold of some of that "heart shaped flower" from Black Panther and I'll glow purple next time 🙃

I am not a black girl looking for alternative hair styling devices. "Quite the opposite" I'm just some guy that got really baked, and stuck around for the next video that started automatically. "Which happened to be this one" i fail to understand how it goes from the Spongebob Anime intro To this.. But I digress. You were very clear on your instructions as well as the product brands you were representing. *LIKE

It could but ,if you are planning to style it further it might not matter. I think it depends on what u plan to do with your hair after. And a dent in your hair or still completely curly at the end... I might be okay with a dent 🤔😊😉

I wonder if cwk girls went out of business cuz I've check their site gor almost 6 mos and there is no way to purchase these plates. They would be perfect for my hair. But someone found a DIY way, material: cheap plastic $1 binder and bobby pins. Very similar results, I guess I will have to try that

I wasnt feeling the stretch plates but the spirals were cute. I wonder if you could do both like a 2n1 stretch first till about 75 to 80%dry the go back and try the spirals that way you probably wont have as much shrinkage . Then finish drying completely. Just a thought running through my head. I feel like it could work. 🤔🙂

As a low pos. girl. Would you say defining your hair and wearing it curly (wash n go) is a great protective styling? I only ask because I feel when I define my hair and wear it curly I do very minimal manipulation. Since I can wake up and just go to work. And the curls are clumped together and ends sealed. And I feel twists work great but I'm not the constant wearing twist type of person. And putting my hair in a constant pony tail thins it mid shaft. I just get nervous that if I wear it out all the time. It may not be good for my end long term, though???? What is your experience? I bounce back and fourth. But, love my hair out and curly.
@jandreacolon
@jandreacolon 3 жыл бұрын
hey! i stumbled across this and I follow her channel. wash and go’s can be very good hairstyles for low porosity hair, but you have to keep your hair moisturized in between washes. I found that using mousse also helps with the gel to define the curls and add some moisture/shine to the style. You also have to keep your hair stretched. I band my hair at night and pin the sections to the opposite side of my head and put oil on my hands to seal the moisture in when I’m taking them down. Buns help in between washes, I’m fond of wetting my hair and putting more product in it and detangling with oil on the part of my hair that will be exposed. I also don’t use hairpins unless I’m securing a fake pony. The key is gentleness and staying on top of your wash days. Also, dusting your ends before you need a full blown trim helps a lot. Good luck, curl friend!

I have these and I only used them once. The only issue I have is that my hair is very high density and I ended up running out of plates... and I bought extra. Maybe its better for lower density hair? But it wasnt cost effective for my head specifically.

I bought the straight plates also but a couple of years ago when they were the hard black plastic plates. I have 4a-ish type hair bra strap length. They work very well but now my hair is also too long for the plates. I guess you can sleep in the pink version but again difficult for long hair. I twist the top layer hair in the of plates and the rest are not so when I take my hair down you see nice twist out waves on the outside while the rest is simply stretched. I would sit under the dryer for an hour then remove plates. But again my hair is too long for the plates & dryer now. Great product, can definitely help “grow” your hair with regular use. I just would like to see more solutions for longer lengths. 😁
