If I fall down, it's because I ignored that still small voice within me, I set my own self up for disaster which resulted in a fall. I was where I had no business being, I got there because I chose to walk face into that temptation

Where in the scripture is God a little small voice to his sheep, he gave us the scripture. Sin is not doing things God’s way, and you don’t know all of God’s ways. Why do you say if I fall down, when you already said God mad a way for you to escape, you are setting up an excuse for your future sin because you know who you are just as much as we know you will never leave this earth without sinning again until Jesus comes. That is what Donnie McKlurkin and Paul and David is talking about, we have a sin nature that we will have until we are like him when he comes. Don’t fool your self, your emotions while drive is just as much sin as killing somebody, some say birth control is just as much sin as an abortion, the point is, it is not what you think a sin is, it is what God Thinks a sin is and trust me you do not cover all the bases.

@@kgar5String Sin is to transgress (presumptuously (knowing you’re doing)) against the law. We better be mindful of trying to make excuses for wrong and disobeying God’s Word…He meant everything He said whether it’s accepted or not.

I never got that from Donnie's song. I looked at it as an encouragement that if you had fallen, don't stay down. Get back up. The scripture states: ‭Proverbs 24:16 KJV‬ [16] For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: But the wicked shall fall into mischief. Everybody's life story is different. People are different mentally and emotionally. Some weaker, some are more strong. Whatever the case may be, we have a heavenly Father who loves us and has PROMISED "I will never leave nor forsake you."

Everything we believe about God and our salvation should come from his inspired scripture and what we get from that scripture should be exegeted correctly, every human being is a sinner, Christian’s are just saved be Grace, Read 1 John. A proud look is and abomination to God (sin) and it is his version of what that look is, a haughty spirit is a sin and both sins are just as much sin as murder and adultery.

The Bible says a righteous man can fall seven times. This is not a license to sin, but it shows how fallible we are as humans. Also, sanctification is a process. Someone who just got saved isn’t going to automatically know all 66 Books of the Bible. That’s why they need to be properly discipled.

The Bible also says: "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory..." (Jude 1:24). The Bible goes on to say: "For if there be first a WILLING mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not." (2 Corinth. 8::12). So we see, based on these scriptures (and like the First Lady has said), you have to WANT to be "kept". I'm sure the First Lady is not referring to someone, who just got saved. They are baby Christians. And as such, "they" will fall and make mistakes -- that's understandable. What the First Lady is more likely referring to are "longtime, seasoned" Christians; those who have been with God for quite some time. Those of us, who have been saved for "years", should NOT be falling "all the time". That's called "practicing sin. So longtime Christians trying to hide behind and use baby Christians as an "excuse" to justify their sinning "on the regular" -- are without excuse.

I don't think that's what Donnie McLaurin was saying, I think all he was saying is that even if you're saved , we all fall sometime, and we half too get back up ,just because you're saved doesn't make you perfect, I'm not talking about drinking and stuff, that's a life style, but as long as we're on this Earth, we are going too fall sometime, that when God's Grace steps in , Yes it doesn't give you license too sin , But We still need God's Grace in case we fall, it's called Human

She never said she was perfect. She never said she didn't have struggles. She doesn't have to be "perfect" to be "obedient" to God's Word and commands. And having "struggles" does not "justify" sinning. Speaking the "truth" and being admonished or corrected does not qualify as "tearing someone down". And anyone, who sees "correction" like that is someone, who does not want to "hear" the truth or want to be corrected. They want the "right" to keep sinning while identifying as a Christian -- and NOT be called out for it. And to your use of the "now" worn-out scripture: ALL HAVE SINNED & COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. As "usual", this scripture is ALWAYS taken "out of context", ABUSED, and used as an "excuse" to JUSTIFY why a Christian should be "expected" to SIN. The "same" writer of that "same" book (that you quoted) wrote the following also. Apparently, he knew that there would be people to come along -- and take his "well-meaning" words "out of context" by abusing this scripture, using it as an "excuse" to continue in their sin: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? GOD FORBID. HOW shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? " (Romans 6:1-2). NOW, drop the 🎤🎤🎤

She gave examples of a few sins -- her list was not all-inclusive because it didn't need to be, it was implied. She doesn't have to be transparent. There are plenty of leaders, who are transparent -- that hasn't stopped or even curtailed Christians from practicing sinning -- so your point is not justified. Real ministry is also speaking the "truth" and accepting "correction" -- not looking for an excuse or a "loophole" in the scriptures to justify "habitual" sinning -- Duces, back at you✌✌

Yes but Apostle Paul also wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There is no temptation that you're faced with that others have not also faced. His version of falling what we use that word for must be different, because Paul was the one who wrote that and he kept falling, he said when I would do right, evil was present, when I would do good, I do what I ought not. The fall God was talking about is falling away from the faith.

I don’t know why no one has stated IJohn which states”If a man say he has no sin he lies and the truth of God is not in him. But if we confess our sin God is faithful to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We had to be saved by grace. Love could not save us. God could only redeem us by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. By grace we are saved. Now think about what that says about us!!

The lyric that says “For a Saint is just a sinner who fell down.” Is indeed against scripture. When we are BORN AGAIN -we do not identify as sinners. We are born again. The Bible does not end with those who are merely seeing this with a carnal mind by saying a righteous man falls seven times. The Bible concludes with this: “Now unto HIM that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.” Who is the Him who keeps us from falling? We need to read the WHOLE BIBLE and stop cherry picking scripture. Giving personal interpretations without digesting ALL of God’s Truth stirs up confusion. We must rightly divide the word. Not find scripture to back up compromise and endorse sin.

Oh and when Proverbs 24:16 speaks of a righteous man falling 7 times but getting up this does NOT coincide with the song that CAN suggest that we KEEP falling and getting up. A Christians life should not be MARKED with falling down and getting up. The song was seemingly made in the interest of reaching the list and letting them know, hey we are no different than you, we fall to, the problem with that is what the song says before that. It says a Saint is just a sinner STOP!... NO, NO, NO, we can STOP right there. No, a Saint is in no way a sinner, a Saint "WAS" NOT "IS" a sinner. See that tells you right there what the song was made in the interest of. We as Christians must STOP thinking that we have to use certain man made interpretations of the Word and faith in order to reach the lost. We must trust ONLY the truth of the Word by revelation of the Holy Spirit to reach the lost because ONLY HE can touch every man, woman and child in that place in their heart with the understanding and power to allow the Word and Spirit of God to KEEP THEM AND KEEP KEEPING THEM. The number 7 in Proverbs 24:16 is to say there is a time when we the righteous STOP FALLING! but the song NEVER says we STOP falling, this CAN SUGGEST THAT FALLING IS WHAT THE RIGHTEOUS DO LIKE SINNERS, WE JUST GET BACK UP. I know scripture still won't be good enough, but I will give anyway. As we “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), we overcome besetting sins (Hebrews 12:1). Peter lists steps we can take in developing our new nature and ends with the promise that, if we do these things, we “will never stumble” (2 Peter 1:3-10). Our holiness is the goal, but John acknowledges that we still sin: “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One” (1 John 2:1). God’s desire for us is that we not sin, and one day our sanctification will be complete (1 John 3:2). But, until that time, we still inhabit fallen bodies in a fallen world, and we struggle with the flesh and sometimes lose the battle. But we will not be lost; Jesus Himself intercedes for us as our High Priest (Romans 8:34).

What's not good enough is people taking it "out of context" and TRYING to use it to JUSTIFY "habitually", indulging in sin -- WHILE identifying as a Christian. I have now come across quite a few of your comments on this subject. And you know what?? You're "all over" the place with what you "claim" to believe. You've "contradicted" yourself quite a few times, now. You're not consistent AT ALL in what you "say" you believe. And while you're VERY "inconsistent" -- the Word isn't. I notice you keep trying to "prove" that the Bible is inconsistent; it's not -- and you haven't. Even "this" very comment is VERY inconsistent with what you've been saying, alluding to, and implying. 1 John says if you say you have no sin you are a lier and the truth is not in you. This is the reason God said he would separate the wheat from the tares, we don’t, it is evident with these comments. The same inspired scripture says - If you say you have no sin you are a lier and the truth is not in you. The same inspired scripture says - when I would do good evil (not sin) is present. The same inspired scripture says - when we sin we have an advocate with the father ( he did not say in case). The same inspired scripture says - A proud look is and abomination to God The same inspired scripture says _ A Haughty spirit is sin Have you done any of these since you were saved?

@@ImFinnaPraiseHim Actually it was 2 John - the word elect means chosen. She was called elect because she believed in Jesus Christ and was therefore saved; she was a member of the universal church. So there is an elect lady not First Lady, the practice of calling the wife an elder of a local church “First Lady” does not come from the Bible. No precedent for it can be found in God’s word, and the practice is in fact antithetical to such principles as servanthood and impartiality among followers of Christ. The tradition of calling the pastors’s wife “First Lady” borrows rom the secular practice of giving special distinction and honor to the wives of governmental chiefs or heads of state. No one in the church should be seeking after titles among fellow believers, especially a title that says “first” of anything. Similarly, no one in the church should use titles or any other means of making an unbiblical distinction of superiority among believers.

You missed the point entirely. You're trying to justify the fall. Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There is no temptation with which you're facing that others have not face themselves. God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond your endurance but will with the temptation make a way to escape that you may be able to bear it." Those that fall made the decision to walk into that temptation with their eyes wide open rather than do an exit stage right.

What you are doing is classifying sin, A proud look is an abomination to God and it’s his version of what a proud look is, any sin keeps you out of the presence of God. What tends to happen in church is you can’t do the anti-christian sins, adultery,alcohol, drugs, cussing, secular music, but sins not easily spotted you can struggle the rest of your life and still be christian, no one knows. You can lust, covet, be jealous, envious,hate, have and unbalanced scale as the scripture says, fudge on taxes, lie to the boss about being late, take a pencil from work that they did not give you because they are not sins, are saying God did not make a way for you to escape those things? Name the person never sinned again? You never named the person, you just attack me for stating the obvious. When God said your righteousness was as an filthy rag, that is what he meant. I’m at no time advocating free grace or saying we have a license for sin, I am not stupid I know your condition because I am a man just like you, I know about you, even if though I don’t know you personally.

A woman is not to usurp authority over a man, but If you're a Pastor you are operating in the authoritative position over the Church.. The Man is the head of the woman but satan has reversed this and women are operating out of order.

Why would you try to stop somebody for reaching souls by preaching against sin building the Kingdom of God back up to be strong...who's side are you on? She can't be dressed like the world as she's fully covered and not exposing anything but the devil (maybe that's why you're trying to prove "your point"). Plenty of women have been used in the Bible Judges 4, Romans 16, Acts 21:9 etc. Aside from that, The God I serve isn't in a box and operates only as you think. If God can defy the laws of nature Joshua 10:12, then He can use anybody He chooses. You should go to the Altar & pray that God would start using you to build His Kingdom, instead of tearing it down. The same Jesus that chose 12 men revealed Himself first to a woman while 11 men were sulking in pity and 1 man committed suicide.

I understand what she is saying about Holiness and I agree. However, I perceive by this clip out of her mouth that she is perfect or she never had any struggles in her life. The Bible says a just falleth 7 Times and rises up again. Jesus told the disciples we are to forgive 70 Times 7 in a day. There is a difference between struggling with your issues seeking help versus habitual-reprobate mindset. I don’t know anything about 1st Lady Owens past where I have to let God correct His Preachers. I have to disagree with her on the basis of Blessed Are The Merciful For They Shall Obtain Mercy. I am not certain why she took a jab at the song We Fall Down. I have to look at the fruit of how many people have been delivered where this is Donnie McClurkin’s Altar Call Song at his concerts. I will say what The Old School taught me: You Never Know Who You May Need One Day where you May need Pastor McClurkin to Minister to your family. We as a Church shouldn’t be fighting each other like this when a man is trying to edify with scripture. I respect 1st Lady Owens, however, I disagree with her as if she never did no sin like this short clip is portraying.

You know what I hear and perceive when I read the words coming out of "your mouth"?? Excuses, excuses -- Excuses. A bunch of "lame excuses" -- coming from "lazy" Christians. Based on your words, which are also your confession, you remind me of "Cain and Abel". I'll give you one guess, which you are. Instead of Cain accepting God's criticism of what he brought him and making the necessary "corrections", Cain decided -- like you -- that it was "easier" and more convenient for him to take aim at Abel's faith by going after him -- and ultimately, killing him. This is "exactly" what you're trying to do to this First Lady. Instead of making the necessary adjustments in your life to your "own" faith, you seem to think it's easier and more convenient for you to pick up your "spiritual rocks" and throw them at the First Lady's confession of her faith. I would admonish you to be mindful that while doing so, that you don't end up "inheriting" Cain's OUTCOME. Because as you know (I'm assuming), Cain did NOT have a positive end. God was still NOT pleased with Cain, he received a more severe punishment, as a result, and was ultimately "driven" from the presence of God -- never to be seen or heard from again. Something for you to consider -- and I disagree with your perception and depiction of this First Lady and "her" faith.

Well first and foremost women preachers, pastors and any leading in the church building is not scripture! Also, there's no 1st Lady in scripture you'll find Lady Elect but not 1st Lady! If you're going to teach please teach sound doctrine!!

All people are different. So, Donnie McClurkin's song is a real one that will relate with men who fall down many times but it's encouraging because God wants us to know that we can get back up again. What she is teaching is one sided. But she needs to remember "you first got to catch a fish before you can clean it..." Nobody was born speaking in tongues or wearing altar apparel and choir robes. Get it together or leave it alone.

First Lady is right! Here’s why: If you understand what this scripture is saying, it’s not speaking about a righteous man falling into sin…that’s what the Bible says, “A righteous man falls 7 times (meaning he’s being tested and tried by God, not tempted be the enemy), but he gets back up with the help of the Lord (he doesn’t allow the testing and trials to keep him down). We must study the Word to show ourselves approved. God said, “My people perish for the lack of knowledge.” Remember, God isn’t going to find any of us an excuse to sin…He hates it.

Donnie actually had it right. You may want to look at the word FALL in the original language to get a better understanding of what this verse is saying. In the Hebrew, fall (naphal) has many different meanings/applications and can be interpreted as falling into calamity, trouble (sin), cast down, overthrown, overwhelmed etc.

All I'm saying is, John tells us in 1 John 1:8-10 that if we say we have no sin or have not sinned, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, and we make him a liar and his word is not in us. He was addressing righteous folk when he wrote this v.3. I got the point of the song when I heard it. Not to say that we just indulge in sin recklessly, but when we do fall, we get back up because it's God who grants us the mercy and grace to so. Like you said, by his spirit we're able to stand strong, I agree whole heartedly. But Donnie got it right though LOLOLOL

We all fall short of God’s glory and we still have a sin nature. And this why some disagree with women in the pulpit. Where’s her compassion. Thank God Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses. (Heb. 4:15)

ALL of us deal with sin of some sort. If not then explain 1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Also the words "elect lady' found in 2 John was NOT a church title, but the Body of Christ as a whole. Please, CHAPTER and VERSE, NO DEFLECTIONS or CONTEXT TWISTING - Where in the Bible does a woman have pastoral authority over a man under ANY circumstances? And why does she fuss so much? Apparently Galatians 6:1 hasn't come into study, because MEEKNESS and SELF CONSIDERATION is how addressing faults of people should be done, not sourpuss fussing all the time.

WRONG ... She’s got everything wrong on Donnie McClurkin’s song which has nothing to do with her preaching. The bible says the righteous fall 7 times and they rise and God will make them stand (standing on His righteous ways) but the wicked are in it for judgement (self-righteousness). The wicked is the one who remains DOWN with their sins because of self-righteousness (Ezekiel 3:20). Those who are doing evil are in it for judgement. God judges you for your wickedness; not your weakness. That’s what Jesus DID. Holiness without righteousness is leading many Christians and preachers away from the grace and character of God. This is why many Christians will go through the Great Tribulation (Revelation 13:10).

II John 1:1 is where she gets her title. Keep in mind we're living epistles read of all men. If we keep falling how does that reflect on the "keeping Power" of our God?
