I was *this* close to cancelling my subscription because I think I already have too many journals, etc. And last box I avoided spoilers completely. I decided to see what was in the March box before being too hasty. WOW. They had me at fountain pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the review, and I share your enthusiasm. I squealed when I saw that pen. 🤣🤣 But now.... we have to WAIT! ACK! 💗

I do think that we do have too much notebooks… it would be interesting to at least send some B5… it’s always A5 or smaller notebooks that I never know how to use them

Very excited for the fountain pen and ink because I'd like to play with a fountain pen without going through the effort of selecting one and picking inks. I figured they would be getting around to doing fountain pens soon. I also really like the notebook they've shown. I am really enjoying this trend away from the small icons toward more full cover designs and was just saying that it would be nice to see some in the spring collection, so having one in the sub box makes me happy. This box looks prime for some more scrapbooking paper as well - wouldn't be surprised to see some in this box.

I saw this and knew you would be ecstatic. You called the fountain pen in the fall sometime. I forgot which video, but you said it. I cannot wait for my box. I bought the wellness box just for the stamps and the notebook!

Feel exactly the same way, pen freaks definitely will have a good time, just hope the pen is not a complete dud. The value is there, the theme is mature which I appreciate. Sometimes they veer into juvenile and trite and already have too much of that from other boxes. Thanks for the second notebook hint! That's huge!

The only guarantee for the boxes is “at least 2 notebooks” so after that it’s all a mystery

I LOVE fountain pens, so much so that that's why I stopped using Archer & Olive's journals. So I am cautiously optimistic about Archer & Olive's foray into fountain pens and ink. Like, are they going to start making different journals for fountain pens? Because, again, I just don't love most inks on A&O paper. They feather way too much.

Same thoughts here! I still use my A&O notebooks but with regular pens, my fountain pens are solely for notebooks with TRP. The feathering was too much for me!

I’ve never had issues with fountian pens on the notebooks. Certain Inks have been the biggest issue and I just stay away from those.

I glad that it’s vintage but still has bright pops of color. I am not an all beige person. It looks like a good selection of ink colors. Excited to see more.

I am excited about the fountain pen… But after what happened with the pen of the last sub box, I feel that I have to wait and see how it turns out. I hope that this box is better than the last one… I was so disappointed.

I’m really excited about the fountain pens, but will totally be needing those tutorials from you Mark on what to do with them!!! On everything from filling them, to cleaning, to stopping the ink from drying up, to what to actually write/draw!!! (Probably need those tutorials for glass dip pens too!!! 🤣🤣🤦‍♀️)

I'm excited for the fountain pen but this is one of those things that can either be really great or not so much. Not that it would be bad for someone just starting but I think it could vary for those of us with more experience with fountain pens. I'm definitely ready to try it out and I love the colors and I'm hoping it's an extra fine nib as that's also something not covered as much in my current collection. I'm also glad they already opted for a converter.

So fun to watch! I’m bummed that watercolors don’t do well on the pages especially with blending so I’m looking for new journals. They’re great with regular pens and fountain pens too.

Your excitement is contagious. I'm not as excited about this theme and box so far. I absolutely loved celestial and was so sad to miss the September library box. I'd be interested in an how to video and fountain pen 101. It just seems messy to me. I feel like I'd be the girl spilling whole bottles of ink, smudges and blots of mess everywhere on pages, ink staining my fingers and everything I touch, please tell me I'm just being over dramatic 😂

I wish I could tell you that you are being over dramatic, but that's a part of fountain pens and ink - BUT will have some tips for sure on best ways to keep it clean and your fingers less messy.

I need fountain pen videos Mark! I keep getting them in boxes and I have no idea how to use them or open them or add ink or anything! I like the way it’s going so far, just hoping we’re not going to get anything off the wall like the solar paper. I wonder if the back strips with white letters are a clue of some sort? Reminds me of an old label maker my grandfather gave me when I was little. Colored adhesive backed plastic ran through it and it made whatever you typed in (one at a time) print white. It like debossed and removed the color in one click. Maybe they are phrased stickers or something. Or maybe it’s nothing lol

I don't know anything about fountain pens, but I'm excited to try! Also wondering if the deckled edges are only on the one side, or all three sides? I seem to remember that the Halloween one was only one side, is that right? Either way, I'm already subscribed and I'm very excited!

I’ve subscribed to notifications as I missed the celestial box and was gutted, is there a release time I can convert to uk time so I don’t miss the roll out as I’m hoping to become a permanent subscriber. But there doesn’t seem to be a method to subscribe and pay without an active box, so not entirely sure what I’m doing 😂😂

They will open up new subscriptions at the start of March. I will follow up with more details when I have them. They usually go on sale at 9am Central Time, so you can convert from there. Uk is, I think 5 hrs ahead, so you will be in the afternoon.

SO done with Archer and Olive! Tried for TWO YEARS to get on the quarterly sub list! It is all a rouse! Nice products….horrible business tactics! A few people like you are only privy to stuff…….cheap advertising! Otherwise they wouldn’t be around at all! You personally…..great site…you do a great job! In business myself….you dont survive by sticking it to those who pay your bills!

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. New subscriptions open every quarter and not every box has sold out - so if you are trying to sign up, you have to do it in the first few days - there have only need a new boxes that have sold out quickly. Personally, I think that A&O, the ambassadors and affiliates do a good job of keeping A&O fans Informed. Between social media, email, and even text notifications, everyone should be on the same page with details. Some people get early access, but the goal is to help inform and inspire. But I fully support your decision- if you aren’t a fan of how things are done, you shouldn’t deny your morals for product.
