I have been using x3 for recording some of my vids in my channel. If x4 doesnt have 1" sensor, no point in upgrading.

X3 gives approx 1080p when reframed. The X4 may achieve 1440p. Better, but not really sensational.

I purchased my X3 camera last year, and the only aspect I regret is its quality. If the color profile could be improved to match that of a GoPro, upgrading might be the best option.

My feeling with each camera they bring out in the X range is you can’t tell a huge difference between the last one. So the X4 will need to be obviously better immediately from out the box. Insta 360 are great fun so am sure this new one will just fine.

I have a feeling they may be rushing it out before their normal release month due to rumours of GoPro’s Max2 on the horizon. Just hope it’s not buggy as a result…

I mainly use my X3 in "me" mode : sadly it is limited to 1080p 60fps resolution. A higher resolution (2.7k at least) would be a good improvement but... 4k would be even better. Saddly, don't think it is possible 😕

Coming from a Qoocam 8K, and having now an Insta360 RS 1-Inch 360, believe me 8K is not a magic number. As long as the sensor size is not close to 1 inch, 8K is not key.

We hope the hdr option is also 8k30 fps. And it's a new sensor with intraframe hdr, so without ghost image.

I ordered X3 from Amazon and it is due delivery, should I cancel it to wait for X4 or price drop in X3??

Was hoping they doing one inch 360 with bigger screen...unfortunately this not upgrade for me.

1080p is a good quality no one needs a 8k reso if your watching only on your phone

I have the X2 and it's very grainy and low resolution. I hope the x2 is the one I'm going to for upgrade or hopefully DJI will take the market segment.

I called them out as I always do. They go to youtubers to sell their garbage vs actually providing innovation. This was fine many years ago, but now no. 2k flattened video? (yawn) Same sensor, same lens... and 8k? So basically, you're going to polish a turd. I am hoping I am wrong; I would love to be.. HOWEVER, their track record is trash when it comes to innovation. 1. They use youtubers to sell their reused trash. Think... the 17th guy to have your ex. Same girl, used, but puts diff make up on and tries to be different. Putting a bigger screen on a camera and AI doesn't make the quality better. Proof? Look at their prosumer based 360 1RS. ITS TRASH. The quality SUCKS. Look at anything where the sun has just started to go down and nope! Do you really think a smaller sensor camera with 8K is going to do better than the RS? Come on...... 2. The 1/2/3 not vast improvements over one another, unless you're a fan boi who thinks AI is what makes a camera great. I am hoping they don't push a bunch of AI trash, but we know it's going to happen. AI is a buzzword, has nothing to do with quality out of camera. As a photographer, that is what I look at first. RAW photos or video out of camera. Their AI changes shit drastically. 3. Lens guards? Really? LOL 4. Low light capabilities? No sensor changes, no change in low light. Even the flag ship sucks in this regard. And I don't mean the 13k ones, I mean the prosumer 1RS. Insta360 has a history of disappointing buyers. People that are ignorant believe everything youtubers say so that is how they get their sales. No innovation, just weak hype. The Ace Pro sucks, all of the x series sucks, and while I want them to change, I don't see this happening here. People need to hold them accountable for the shit they push. Unfortunately, they do not. Imagine being stupid enough to buy the 2/3 after the 1 and thinking they were much different than going online and looking at video taken by both and realizing it looked like trash. lol Qoo cam did 8k also, it didn't look great either. Insta is not the first to do this. Maybe ill be wrong... maybe... but what if I am right? Every release I slam them, don't think it will be much different here.
