This deck is an odd one. It is super aggressive when it gets set up, but it struggles when it can't.

That mew match really puts into perspective how "weak" this league deck is, I know it was a fully upgraded version and I know the potential is there since Miraidon is just a generic electric support but the mew league battledeck just feels so much more like a full power competive deck right out of the box it's crazy. It's sad that flaaffy is rotating out I really hope they print some sort of replacement for it because without having this consistent energy acceleration and having to only use generators to accelerate makes this deck feel like it has no legs.

I actually think the Mew VMAX deck is one of the “less complete” League Battle Decks compared to some of the others. However, it does have all of the core components the deck needs to function and is primarily short on more Genesects and Mews. That said, Mew is still more complete than Miraidon. I understand why they’d pack it up with Regieleki due to rotation concerns, but it makes for a deck that feels very wonky out of the box. At some point, I want to do a video on what was the most “complete” League Battle Deck out-of-the-box. Mew might be the best for how high its ceiling is when you upgrade it, but other League Battle Decks have it beat for how playable they were without upgrades for their time. Someday I’ll get around to it!

A third Miraidon and two Raikou V are the first upgrades I woupd make to this deck. You can get by without Flaaffy easier than you can get away woth less ealry game attackers or missing the turn one miraidon bench setup.

Multiple Miraidon builds being features on the channel in the next week! At least one more build with Mew ex and Zapdos ex in the next while. And of course I’ll do an upgrade video as soon as the deck drops later this year!

Miraidon is the stronger of the two; both as is and especially if you upgrade them.

When you're building a deck find the customize tab and it will let you select the sleeves box and coin. It will show what you own and don't own.

I feel like they should have included better basic attackers than Zerora. I do wish they would just get over the notion that Rule Box Pokemon are somehow "special" such that an LBD can only have 6 (formerly, 4, formerly 3), or that it needs to be a constant amount in every product. No Iono or Bravery Charm is also an odd omission - I guess they just refused to include any Paldea Evolved cards, which is a shame. No Flaaffy to keep it rotation-proof is understandable, but lowers the playability drastically. Also, they really should have put out a pair of LBDs - I think Gardevoir would have been a great choice.

At this point in time, Miraidon has performed better in tournament than Roaring Moon. Not sure where things go post-rotation, but Miraidon is the better deck right now.

I need to do a video on this subject. While I think the Trainer’s Toolkit is great in a general sense, I don’t think it really goes well with most of the pre-made decks out there except for Meowscarada. Knowing the Miraidon deck list already, there’s very little from the Toolkit that would make it better. Let me think about this a bit more…
