How are we supposed to talk about this thing?! It's a Sub 45lb full power ebike with a 62.5° Headtube... It's like the engineers at Cannondale started making a DH bike and got bored, so they added a motor. Watch along to hear Matt's take on Cannondale's latest entry to the full-power ebike game, the Moterra SL.

I bought one from your store in Denver and have been truly enjoying it. Yes, it's a little heavy, but not nearly like the other full power bikes. I'm calling it the Goldilocks bike: Not too heavy, not too light (and underpowered), it's just right. The range I'm getting so far is amazing, and the build kit at this price point (I got the SL1 model) is top-of-the-line. So far, I love it, and having ridden other E-MTB's such as Specialized, Yeti, and Orbea, this Cannondale handles as well or better than any of them. So glad I waited until this year to get an E-MTB.

Thanks for the video, I was wondering about this exact thing: "What's it like riding such a slack bike?" Very helpful.

I know those trails you rode in the video, how did the bike handle chunk? Suspension keep up with the repeated hits at speed? How would it do in some of the tighter, narrow riding that is in the area? Given battery size, in boost, how long did it take you to get up to the top and what was the range you were able to experience? Great to see local riding featured in a video.

Thanks for the questions. The bike handled chunk really well, very composed and I feel like slacker front ends absorb impacts a bit better. As for tight and twisty, it handles it fine as long as the trail is steep (like the C Camp trails). It's flatter terrain where the slackness may hinder you. My front end would understeer a bit on the flatter stuff, like Tamo. As for range, I didn't do a full long ride to see how far I could go but it seemed in line with other full power bikes. The smaller battery and lighter weight balance each other out.
